Eric Slopey

This adorable face, is now loved by many.  When Eric Slopey came onto the RollerJam scene last year for the California Quakes he made quite a shake.  His moved the White Pony, has earned him top honors with the younger viewers, along with the older ones too, of RollerJam.  Being that he is young, and is about the age of some of the viewing audience, he is a very recognizable face.

Here are some stats about Eric from the Roller Jam Official Homepage:

California Quakes #13 now #23

6' 155 lbs.

Birthday: March 7, 1980

"I like the speed of it all."

Eric is among the youngest players on the RollerJam track. But he not only competes against the big boys, he also puts them in their place. Eric's a fast Jammer whose hockey experience is a benefit for his team. He played in-line hockey for five years and tried out for a professional major-league, roller-hockey team. Eric says hockey "really helps when you're getting out of the pack a lot, with really quick bursts." But there is a difference when skating on the banked track. "Once I got out there I had to change the way I skate to longer strides to keep my endurance."

When Jamming, watch for Eric's fancy sidestepping to get around the opposing team. He's also known for "riding the pony," his unique way of teasing Jammers from the other team who are left in his wake. There's something else he does to other players that most people don't know about. "I like to talk to them and say stuff that only they can hear and make them mad. Whatever I think will set them off."

The biggest thing Eric can do to set off the other team is score points. From what he's proven so far, that's no problem!
