Bryan Krebs
Bryan is the newest member to be on Roller Jam out of all the guys on this page. He came late because his first team, Texas Rustlers, was brought into the league later. Even though he has only played one game, he's showed his stuff and we look forward to this cutie to show what he has with his new team, California!
Here are some stats about Bryan from the Roller Jam Official Homepage:
Texas Rustlers now California Quakes
5'10" 143 lbs.
Birthday: June 17, 1981
"I have to have some contact, or I don't consider it a sport!"
Football was a big pastime in the Krebs family. "My dad was a coach, my brother was a quarterback, I was a center, my sister was a cheerleader and my mom was a cheerleading coach."
Bryan started playing ball when he was 7 years old, and it wasn't until the summer before his freshman year of high school that he put aside the family tradition of football for a new love ... skating. He played roller hockey for the Deltona Devils and now plays for the Inline Surge.
"I train all the time," Bryan adds. "I skate every day, and I'm starting to learn how to speed skate." But it's the contact of RollerJam that Bryan has grown to love, even if that means an injury now and then. Bryan explains how he got a real nasty-looking scar on his leg. "Sean Atkinson took me out. He got me good on my leg." He shrugs off the incident. "Its just part of the game!"
Another part of the game is going up against bigger skaters like Tim Washington and Mark DAmato. "I was always the smallest guy on the football team, so I'm used to getting knocked around! They're definitely intimidating, but you can't let it get to your head. You have to outsmart them."
Bryan says that his background in football and soccer helps him with RollerJam. "It's all helped me in teamwork. You learn how to work as a team in all those other sports. And my dad, when he was coaching us, kept us in great shape, taught us how to train well, and thats just carried over."
So what's it like to be a Jammer on the track? "Actually its pretty easy because I have my team's support. I was ready for it. I've been waiting for this for a while. Its definitely an adrenaline rush, getting pumped up. And when you get out there, everybody's screaming at you. All you're thinking is, let's make this great! Let's win this game for the crowd!"
His big goal for the year? "I want to knock Slopey off his pony!"
