I cut out a bunch because it was just us gib-gabing and some of our jokes (which were darn funny) might have been interpreted wrong so I didn't put them in here either. Okay, Dax. Here we go.
AR: If you could be a box of cereal, which would you choose, and why?
DAX: I would want to be the mushiest kind ever, so that nobody would eat me.
AR: What's your favorite ice cream flavor?
DAX: I love New York Cherry Cheescake....yes, it's a real flavor!
AR: Who is your favorite super hero, and why?
DAX: The Tick. Because he can leap from building to building with only minor structural damage.
AR: Is there any particular musician who has been a great influence on you and your career? If so, who and why?
DAX: Billy Joel has been a huge influence on my music and the career I've chosen. More recently, I've also had the great pleasure of beginning a friendship with a singer/songwriter named Jude Cole, who has inspired me musically since I was 15.
AR: How long have you been a musician, and how long have you been with *NSYNC?
DAX: I've been a musician for as long as I can remember...I have been playing the piano since I was 3 years old, I started taking lessons at age 6 and I haven't looked back since. I also play guitar, bass guitar, drums, harmonica, and sing. I've been part of the *NSYNC band since I was 19, a year and a half ago.
AR: What's the craziest thing a fan has ever done to meet you or one of your fellow band-mates?
DAX: Well, I could say that my girlfriend, Kim, traveled all the way from California to an *NSYNC concert in Janesville, Wisconsin...paid someone $50 to share a blanket to sit on, and then sent her mom out into the crowd of fairgoers at the Rock County Fair to try to find me so she could introduce me to her daughter! Buy that? :-) Nothing really crazy stands out in my mind, at least for any of us band members. But it's great to know we're recognized and appreciated by the fans.
AR: What is the most rewarding aspect of being *NSYNC's keyboardist?
DAX: I get to visit cities in every part of the country, meet different people, see things I wouldn't get to see just staying at home, and be part of a great concert in front of 15,000-20,000 people every night...I couldn't ask for much more out of a tour.
AR: I know you have your own album from back in your teen years, so are you planning on trying your hand at a solo career any time soon, or do you prefer the kind of arrangement you have now?
DAX: In the future, I'd like to be able to record and distribute some of my own material again. For now I'm content with my support role, but you never know when the opportunity might present itself. I'll be ready.
AR: Do you have a friendly, "hang out and chill" kind of relationship with the *NSYNC guys, or is it strictly business?
DAX: It's extremely friendly and low-key. We try to hang together whenever we get the chance...it's hard anymore because they have so many more responsibilities on this tour, and aren't always able to just chill out and relax.
AR: Finally, everyone reading this interview has their own personal favorite *NSYNCer. So, Dax, who's *your* favorite *NSYNCer? :)
DAX: Oh, I can't think of any one of the guys that I like better than others. I get along great with each one of them, and I have several different things in common with each one too.
