A wealthy woman plans a wedding for her son, but a demon appears to take the place of the bride. Piper is left to cater the wedding after her former boss left for France and enlists Phoebe's help. A priest is murdered before the wedding after trying to kill the demon bride, and Andy seeks Prue help in identifying a weapon at the crime scene. When the sisters learn the truth about the demon bride, they decide to help the old bride get her future husband back.

In the 17th century the sisters' ancestor Melinda Warren, curses a warlock to spend an eternity in a locket after stealing her powers and betraying her love. Three hundred years later Prue accidentally frees the warlock who determined to destroy the sisters and take their powers. The Halliwell's unsure what to do summon Melinda to imprison him again.

Prue is framed by her boss, Rex, for stealing from the auction house and murdering to cover up the theft. When Piper and Phoebe figure out Rex is a warlock, they break Prue out of jail to help defeat him. Their plans are quickly ruined when Rex is there to photograph their crime and to blackmail them into giving up their powers for Prue's freedom. The girls then are faced with the decision of whether to give up their powers or not.

Piper uses her powers to play matchmaker for clumsy waiter and the woman he wants to marry.

Piper is attacked by a werewolf-like creature called a Wendigo that feeds on human hearts during the full moon and infects Piper. Prue and Phoebe try to hunt down the Wendigo and kill it so the infection doesn't turn their sister into a Wendigo also. After asking Prue for a job at the auction house, Phoebe has a vision after touching a bracelet. Through the vision Phoebe helps to reunite a mother with her daughter that was kidnapped ten years earlier by her father.

Episode 13: From Fear to Eternity Prue and Phoebe become the target of a demon who appears once every 1,300 years on Friday the 13th and feeds on the fears of witches. If the demon can kill thirteen unmarried witches within the day he returns, the demon will be freed from the underworld to terrorize humankind. Piper is reluctant to start a new relationship because of her belief in superstitions. Phoebe has to decide whether she will cover for her new bosses' infidelity or not.

Phoebe learns that Leo is a white lighter, sort of a guardian angel for witches, and has returned to make sure Max's call for help reached Prue. Phoebe counsels Leo on the best way for him to break up with Piper since white lighters and witches aren't allow to fall in love with each other.

After an earthquake, the sisters call a repair man who accidentally releases a shadowy demon in the basement of the Halliwell house. As the demon seeks to gain of control of the house, Phoebe comes under the control of the demon, who wants her to kill her sisters. After Piper is unable to complete her preparations for a dinner party Prue is having for clients of the auction house, they learn that Phoebe's childhood fear of the Woogyman is real and try to regain control of the house.

When the sisters learn Gabriel is immune to normal weapons and they don't currently have the strength to defeat him as their ancestor did, Phoebe suggests Prue cast a spell to multiply her strength. The spell however creates two clones of Prue to help battle Gabriel.

The warlock is immune to the powers of the Charmed Ones after making a deal with their mother to spare her life in the past. In order to save themselves, the girls cast a spell which returns them to mid-70s when the deal was made, their grandmother and mother are still alive, Prue and Piper are playful little witches and Phoebe is still unborn and in the womb.

Meanwhile, Phoebe tries to get Piper to stop shying away from a date with Josh.

Phoebe seeks out an old victim of the Gremlocks, a blind man, to try to figure out where the children are being held. Meanwhile, Piper learns her boyfriend is willing to pass up a job in Beverly Hills to stay in town with her. Andy finally learns about Prue's powers.

While taking a tour of Alcatraz, Phoebe watches the ghost of killer take possession of a guard's body so he can cross the waters surrounding the prison. Once free from infamous prison the ghost targets those that played a part in his conviction to seek revenge. The sisters discover the only way to banish the ghost is for one of them to die and recite a spell while on the astral plane. Piper worries about leaving Prue and Phoebe alone as she leaves on a business trip.

Unfortunately the spell also causes Prue and Phoebe's powers to swap. Andy leaves his job to help protect Prue's secret from being exposed by an Internal Affairs investigation.

As a warlock makes plans for his attempt to kill the Charmed Ones, he receives a visit from Tempus, a demon who will turn back time until the warlock succeeds in killing all the Halliwells. Upon turning back time after the first failed attempt, Tempus informs the warlock only he will remember the previous events. Fortunately for the Halliwells, Phoebe's has a number of strong cases of deja vu. But unfortunately for Andy, Phoebe sees Andy death at the hand of a warlock.
