Battle Chasers Game in the making
American comic book artist Joe Madureira stated in an interview that he is close to signing a deal that will bring his anime/manga Battle Chasers comic series to the Playstation 2. The game company has not been named, but Madureira recent did the advertising artwork for Interplay's Gekido. The Battle Chasers comic has been criticized by some anime and manga fans for character design that greatly resembles that of existing anime and manga series.
Capcom Meets Gundam
The Japanese site formerly known as Amusement Graffiti and currently known as Challenger Kandaimae Homepage, a site with a very good track record, has recently posted a list of upcoming products for the Naomi arcade board, whose architecture is very similar to the Sega Dreamcast. The most interesting game on the list is a Capcom Gundam project. The game has been described as a Virtual On-type communication fighting game viewed from the 1st person perspective.
Upcoming Games
Street Fighter 2: Turbo is being release for the Dreamcast in Japan. The game, due out in third quarter this year will feature network battle. Many Street fighter fans consider Street Fighter 2: Turbo the best of the entire Street Fighter series.
In other Capcom news, a new entry in the Vampire Savior / Darkstalkers series is in the works for the Naomi arcade board and the Sega Dreamcast. The Dremcast game will likewise feature network battle. The game is due out this August.

Marvel Vs. Capcom 2, Street Fighter III: Double Impact, and the mech fighting game Tech Romancer will all be released for the Sega Dreamcast in the US the week of June 30th. Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 will be roughly $49.99, and Tech Romancer and Street Fighter III will go for $34.99 each. Tech Romancer will be released under the Tommo label, an action that was used before for Capcom's quirky fighting game Jojo's Bizarre Adventure.
