I did not want to believe it when I heard you had died,
When it finally sank in I went outside and cried.
I remember when I was little and would come over to spend the night,
How you would always wish me sweet dreams as you turned out the lights.
I now wish Alicia sweet dreams every night when I lay her down,
I thank of you at that time too, just like you were still around.
