Raindrops--Part 3

..........The two continued that way. Picking doors on any number of floors, knocking on them and the running like the wind. They laughed and giggled and almost feel down some stairs once. Pretty soon, they found themselves by the pool. There was no one around. AJ and Dra gave each other knowing glances and AJ held out his hand. Dra grabbed it and the both went running full force into the pool, clothes and all. Both emerged from the water sputtering and still holding hands.

"I've never had this much fun-ever," commented AJ swimming over to Dra.

"Well I'm glad I could help. It's been great hanging with you today Xander. I never thought that I could meet someone so....in.....tune....with....me," she finished as AJ got closer to her. His face was inches from her and he had her backed into a corner of the pool.

"Dra, I have to tell you something," he said softly.

"Yeah?" "I really want to kiss you right now," he said wiping the wet hair out of her face.

"So what's stopping you?"

"Gentlemanly honor. So can I? Can I kiss you?"

"I'll be pretty pissed if you don't," and that was all it took. AJ's lips brushed against Dra's in the sweetest kiss ever exchanged. Dra felt a knowing spark pass through her body. It was the same one she felt each time she touched AJ. She ran her hands though his wet hair as the kiss became more passionate and demanding. Dra pulled away to look at AJ but he rested his head on her shoulder, hugging her tight.

"Is it wrong for me to say that I never wanna let you go. You make me feel so full of life and so worth everything I have. You make me want to live."

"I don't wanna let you go either, Xander," she replied laying her head onto his shoulder. Even though the two never had met before today they knew they were destined to be together. They felt it from the moment that they first saw each other. It was destiny that brought them together but love would make them stay that way. Reluctantly AJ got out of the pool and pulled Dra with him.

"I better go, I've gotta dry off before your concert tonight," stated Dra.

"You mean you knew who I was the whole time?"

"Sorry, I probably should have said something but the only reason I recognized you was because of the tattoos. My sisters are huge fans, I'm not," she explained sheepishly.

"Don't worry about it. I wondered if you knew who I was or not," he stated.

"I do and I don't care."

"Come on I'll walk you back to the restaurant," said AJ smiling.

The duo walked back and stood right by the entrance slightly behind a plant so people wouldn't notice him.

"Do you have to go?" asked AJ

"We know I do. Let's make this quick. I hate long good-byes," she said as he wrapped his arms around her waist.

"No good-bye, just....until next time. I'll see you later at the concert," he stated softly.

"I'll be sitting in the four row, you can't miss me."

"I already miss you," said AJ and it was the truth. For some reason it cut like a knife into his heart to let her go. AJ remembered what his mom had told him once though-With pain and suffering comes love and understanding, if you have one you have to have the other. And now he realized that was so true. "Can I tell you something?"

"Sure, Xander, what is it?" she asked.

"I think we belong together. I think you're my soulmate," AJ watched her face for a look of disbelief or shock but the only thing that surfaced was relief. She let out a huge breath.

"You too? I didn't want to say anything because I thought you'd think I'm looney tunes." she reached up and hugged him "Now that I found you I don't wanna let you go."

"I know, me either but were soulmates. That means no matter what we always end up together, we get the happy ending. We live happily ever after," he said but before she could reply he kissed her long, hard and passionately. He wanted to show her how much she meant to him. Hoping that somehow God would see this kiss and stop time for them, never having to leave each other. Dra pulled away and wiped the lipstick off his lips.

"Go, before I keep you behind this plant forever," and with one last kiss AJ walked away without looking back........

.........."Thank you and good night!" yelled the boys as they came off stage. If AJ wouldn't have been paying attention he would have blew right past her.

"Where you going stranger?"

"Dra, oh I hoped Q could find you!" he picked her up and twirled her around topping off the scene with a beautiful kiss.

"I can't stay long and I know you have a meet and greet to do but I wanted you to have this," she said handing him her composition notebook "It's for when nothing else can inspire you. That book is all of my hopes, dreams and feelings. Use it to inspire yourself."

"Thank you, Dra. Here take this, " he said slipping off a ring that was on his pinky "It's my birthstone. It was a graduation gift from my mom and I want you to have it."

"Xander, no I can't it's-" he silenced her with a kiss. He loved how generous she was yet how she never took anything herself.

"Take it, you're my soulmate. You need something to show that your mine," he said caressing her face, finally.

"AJ, come on they're waiting," said a stagehand.

"Yeah, I'm coming," he turned his attention back to Dra "I wanna tell you something but I don't want to freak out you."

"We're soulmates, Xander, you can tell me anything," she said gently wiping away a line of sweat on his forehead.

"I love you. I love you so much. Is that possible?" he asked searching her eyes.

"It's very possible because I love you too. Even if I didn't know you I still knew you. Does that make any sense?"

"Lots, trust me. I gotta go. I'll call you, I promise. You're going to get sick of me."

"Never," she said kissing him one last time "My number is in my book."

"Until next time, Lexie baby," he said bounding off, blowing her a kiss on his way out.

"Until next time, Xander," she whispered as she started to find her way back to her sisters and friends.........

...........Dra sat in her room having just gotten off the phone with AJ. It was crazy how they felt but then again everyone thought that about Romeo and Juliet. She smiled and Mr. Peepers jumped up onto her bed. Suddenly the stereo started to play and she smiled.

"Perfect choice, Mr. Peepers," she said scratching the dog's ear.

I still can remember times when the night seemed to surround me, I was sure the sun would never shine on me. And I thought it my destiny to walk this world alone but now your here with me, now your here with me.

And I don't regret the rain or the nights I felt the pain. or the tears I had to cry so many times along the way. Every road I had to take, everytime my heart would break. it was just something I had to get through, To get me to you.

I still can recall the days when I had no love around me Makes me glad for everyday I have with you I look in your eyes and know I'm right where I belong and I belong with you, always belong with you.

And I don't regret the rain or the nights I felt the pain. or the tears I had to cry so many times along the way. Every road I had to take, everytime my heart would break. it was just something I had to get through, To get me to you.

And if I could I wouldn't change a thing, wouldn't change a thing baby Cuz your love was waiting there for me, oh waiting there for me

And I don't regret the rain or the nights I felt the pain. or the tears I had to cry so many times along the way. Every road I had to take, everytime my heart would break. it was just something I had to get through, To get me to you.

.............AJ hit stop on the CD player and smiled knowing that Dra was at home listening to that song. He just had that feeling. AJ hopped into his bunk. He took out his composition book and wrote down just how he felt about Dra. She was his everything. He put down his pen after writing for about 20 minutes and took out her book. Opening up to the first entry, AJ settled in for a good read.
