Terra will now join the group. There are a few things you can do, but your next goal is Narshe. Go to Narshe (Terra optional), and you'll learn that Narshe will side with the Returners. Now you must get the espers to make peace, and help fight the empire.
Other tasks: Mog:
After talking with Banon, go to the room with the treasure, and Lone Wolf the pickpocket will be there. Follow him to the mines. He'll hold a moogle hostage. Don't move. The moogle'll get away, but both will be dangling from the cliff. If you go to the moogle (Mog) he will join your party. If you go to Lone Wolf, you'll get a Gold Hairpin, and Mog will fall off the cliff. You won't see him again until the Dark World. (I recommend getting Mog). Leave Narshe.
The auction:
Go back to Jidoor (with a lot of money) and go into the auction house. You can bid on different items, but save your money for the 2 magicites Golem & Zoneseek. (Golem costs 20000GP, Zoneseek costs 10000GP.)
Water Rondo:
Only in the Light World can you get this dance. Take Mog to either the Lete River, or Serpent Trench (Serpent Trench is quicker) You'll learn the dance. Go (if you chose serpent trench) North East instead of going back to South Figaro.
Intangir:
This is VERY difficult. Intangir is on the triangle island. Save first. When you fight him, he'll be invisible. Make sure you have a lot of healing power. Use DEMI (Gau can use whisper, but then he can't be cured) He'll cast meteo and go invisible again. When you beat him (or he runs) you'll get 10 magic points! You can fight him as much as you want.
Sraphim
The esper Sraphim is in Tzen. Talk to the theif northeast. If you wait till the world of ruin, this precious stone will only cost 10GP instead of 3000GP.
Cave to the Sealed Gate:
Now go to the Cave of the Sealed gate which is right of the Imperial Base east on Albrook. he treasure room is locked so don't bother. Terra is a requirement. In the cave, follow the paths, and make sure you find the Atma Weapon as this will definitely come in handy! (South west of the switch) Basically, ignore the switch. Go to the door, and now go north. You're at the gate. Terra will call the espers as Kefka comes in. Apparently he followed them. You fight him, as Terra is opening the gate. A lot of espers come out going insane. Leave the cave. At the base you'll learn the espers went to Vectaur. As you're going to Vectaur the espers will attack, and the airship will be brought down. You're outside of Maranda. Make a party and go to Vectaur. Go to where the soldiers wouldn't allow you before. I trooper will take you to Gesthal. You must now talk to all the soldiers (and fight a few). You have 4 minutes to do so. For now, ignore all treasure. You should talk to 24 people. Now it's time for the banquet. Here is the guidelines to answering the questions:
Make a toast to the hometowns Leave Kefka in jail for his crimes What happend at Doma was inexcusable Celes is one of us Ask all 3 questions, but NO repeats!!! Yes the espers have gone too far Yes, let's take a break (fight the troopers) That your war is truly over Yes Do all of this, and you'll be rewarded as follows: Troops will leave South Figaro & Doma The weapon chamber at the base will be open Receive Tintinabar, and Charm Bangle
Terra and Locke will be your party, and the rest will stay. Go first to the weapon chamber and get all the goods. Now go to Albrook to the dock. Celes will be there along with Shadow. Celes runs whe she sees Locke. The next day, you ship off. When you get to the island, Shadow will join you.
Crescent Island: Go northeast to Thamasa. No one will talk because you are a stranger. If you try to go to the inn it will cost 1500GP!!! Go to Strago's house. He'll tell you he doesn't know anything about espers. Then his granddaughter Relm will enter, and almost blow Strago's cover. She falls in love with Shadow's dog.
Strago tells you that he knows nothing about the espers. Now leave and go to the inn. Since you have met Strago, he will only charge 1GP! Say yes. In the middle of the night, Strago runs in to tell you Relm is in a fire. Terra & Locke run out, but Shadow stays behind. At the house, Strago begins using magic to calm the flames, then the whole town tries it. Terra, Locke, & Strago enter the house. (Remember to equip him when you enter.) Try to avoid the fireballs unless you want to get a few EXP points, magic pts, and GP. Try to equip Strago with the Ice Rod. It will help in your fight. When you get to the end, you'll fight the Flame Eater. He is obviously weak against Ice. If Locke steals, you'll get a Flame Sabre. Have Terra morph and cast Ice 2 (if she has it) If not, try equiping the Blizzard Sword. Once you beat him, you'll see Relm and Interceptor in the fire. Everyone passes out as Shadow runs in. He gets everyone out safe.
You'll wind up back at Strago's house. He will confess that Thamasa is the village of the Mage warriors which explains why they have their powers. He then will join, but he tells Relm to stay at the house. Your next goal is the gathering place of the espers. Don't forget to buy some equipment for Strago.
Gathering Place of the Espers: This place is a little like a maze. When you enter, first get the Heal Rod in the chest, then go east. (You'll see Relm popping up everywhere) Follow the path. You'll get to a room with 3 statues. You might want to save (go west) before looking at them. As Strago is telling you more about the espers, Ultros will appear. Once again, you fight him. As you are fighting Relm will appear. She will trick Ultros. Have her sketch him. He will run. Relm will now join the party. Head to the next room. There are 3 platforms The one at the top will lead to a Chocobo Suit & a Tabby Suit. The one to the right will lead you to an X Potion. The one on the bottom will lead to the espers.
When you see the espers, you'll learn a lot more from the past. The next scene is in Thamasa where they are making peace with General Leo. As they are Kefka appears. Obviously they were tricked so they could get the espers out of hiding. Kefka will start killing off the espers. You now have control of Leo. Have him fight Kefka. Use the attacks & Shock to fight him. He'll vanish and Gesthal will appear. Then he turns into Kefka. He then takes a sword and kills Leo. Afterwards, Kefka goes power crazy and kills all of the espers. He leaves.
The next scene is at the east part of town at Leo's grave. The other members will come on the airship (Cyan, Edgar, Sabin, Setzer, Mog, Gau). After they all get together everyone gets on the airship. (Including Strago, Relm, & Celes). When you get on the airship, you'll see the island that holds the sealed gate rise into the sky. Now you can either go to the Floating continent or do other things on lad to either get new items, or gain levels.
When you go to the Floating continent, only 3 members of your party may go. My suggestions are Locke, Edgar, and either Terra or Mog. You'll face random attacks against the Imperial airforce. They're all pincers. so be careful. After a few battles, you'll fight Ultros (again). Use Fire 2 against him. After taking about 4000HP, he'll call Chupon. Ice will work against Chupon. You may want to kill Ultros so you won't have to worry about him. When you defeat Chupon, he'll sneeze the group off the ship.
When you fall, the group will get full health again. Now you must fight another member of the IAF. You must go after the center to kill it. Have Locke steal from each part. They include X Ether, Elixer, & Debilitator. (A very neat tool) Lightning will work well. Every once in a while, a speck will appear. You cannot use magic when it is around. You must kill it with physical attacks. When you win, you'll land on the floating continent. Save! If you look down, you'll see Shadow. (Which is why you can only bring 3 people) He will join you. Don't forget to equip him. Go through the maze of breaking island, and teleporters. You will come to a place where you can return to the airship. If you say no, you'll continue on the continent. If you say yes, you will go back to civilization, but Shadow will stay behind. If you do go back, you must redo the whole island. (This could be a good way to get experience!) At the end, you'll fight Atma Weapon. He is very tough, and has about 25000HP. here are a few tricks:
Terra - Morph and use Fire magic. Locke - Steal an elixer, and try Fire magic (if you have it) Cyan - Sword #1. Shadow - Try throwing stars. Edgar - Debilitator to make him weak against other magic, drill, and/or Magic attacks Sabin - Pummel or Fire Dance, or regular attacks. Celes - I recommend you NOT have Celes in your party. (Trust me) Strago - Any good lores like Blow Fish, or Aqua Rake. Relm - Try to give her strong magic attacks. She is one of the best magic users in the game. Setzer - Try the slots, or GP Rain. Mog - Dance The Earth Blues or the Dusk Requiem. Gau - Use a good rage
When you beat him, Shadow will leave the group. Go up and you'll see Kefka and Gesthal with the 3 statues. Celes will appear (now you know why I recommend not having her in the group) She'll try to stop Kefka, but fails. Even Gesthal thinks Kefka is power crazy. Kefka fights him, and using the statues' magic, kills him. Kefka starts moving the statues disturbing their balance. Shadow will reappear and will try to move the statues back. He tells you go. You now have 6 minutes to get to the airship. If you did not have Celes before, you have 4 people in your party. You'll fight against Naughtys. Use fire magic on them. You'll have to fight a Nerapa. He'll condemn everyone. He is reflected, so no magic. Equip with either Ice Rods or Blizzards. You can fight as much as you want to get extra magic points for your characters. When you get to the airship, you can either jump or wait. If you wait, Shadow will come with about 5 seconds to spare. If you jump, you will never see Shadow again. When you get to the airship, the world starts breaking apart. A beam hits the airship, and it breaks and everyone falls out.
On that day, the world was changed... forever.
