A Brief Look At Our Lord Toku
(An excerpt from the Clan War, Clans Book)
His sword is too big for his hands. His armor is too big for his shoulders. His helmet occasionally slips over his eyes. His travel papers list him as a forty-seven year old samurai, and yet he cannot be more than sixteen years old. When samurai ask him his name, his answer is not a proper name, but the Rokugani word for "virtuous."
"Toku," he says."I am Toku."
For a year, the ronin named Toku has wandered Rokugan, seeking fame and adventure. While many question the legitimacy of his heritage, they cannot question his courage, honor or conviction. He carries with him a copy of Akodo's Leadership, but he cannot read it, and asks those he can to read it aloud to him. He nods somberly when he hears the words, trying to hide the joy in his eyes. When he draws his sword, many have found his techniques to be...unorthodox. His horse is a beautiful Otaku steed, and while he knows how to start it, he does not know how to make it stop.
