McFatter Television Production Calendar




"FOCUS ON THE GOAL...NOT THE TASK!"




Registration for returning and new students for the Summer Quarter 2012, will begin in May. Returning students please re-register early to avoid losing seat in class. Please be prepared with full 9-week payment. Please meet with program counselor before registering. Also, be aware that during the summer, a 5-hour and a 6-hour program is offered.




First day 4th Quarter = 4/2/12. Last day 4th Quarter = 6/7/12.




Essay for new Summer Quarter students due by 7/3/12. Topic to be given in class. REMINDER...essay must be turned in on or before 7/3/12 by 2:15 or the grade will be zero(0). There are no excuses or makeups! Turn it in early!




Adult class hours on Early Release days will be 7:45am to 11:00am. See classroom whiteboard for scheduled dates.




McFatter's next graduation will be held on June 2, 2012 at 2:00pm at War Memorial Auditorium in Fort Lauderdale. Rehearsal will be at 9:00am on Friday, June 1st, at the Boys & Girls Club on campus. Attendance is mandatory for all graduates.




No school on: 4/6/12, 4/25/12, 4/28/12, 6/8/12.




Congratulations to McFatter Technical Center TV graduates Allison Karnal, James Donohue, JJ Cole, Chuck Sosa and Gavril Brudasca for their continued years of service to BECON (Broward Education Communications Network), the School Board of Broward County's production facility and its TV Station in the South Florida market, WBEC, Channel 63! Also congratulations to McFatter TV graduate Duane Franklin. Duane worked at WAMI and WTVJ before returning home to BECON! Also, "Did You Know?"... McFatter TV graduate Scott Ferguson is the director of news on Channel 6. Also in the "Did You Know" department, McFatter TV graduate Steve Czarnecki has been working in Los Angeles for various large scale Hollywood studios producing network television shows! Congratulations to Michelle Feldkamp and Brett Scott. Michelle works for the NBC affiliate in Denver. Co. Brett works at WFOR CBS 4 in Miami. Congratulations also to our most recent TV graduate, Sean Patrick McAvaney. Our placement rate now stands at 85%! The national placement rate for all TV graduates in the USA stands at only 33%, so we're way ahead (and at a fraction of the normal cost)!




Daylight Saving Time (that's right SAVING not SAVINGS! We're saving time not savings time!) ends at 2:00AM, Sunday, November 4, 2012. Move clocks BACK one hour!
