Jesus said: "I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father but by me." (John 14:6)
Don't let anyone fool you! Ther is only one way to God, not many roads. It is only through the blood of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, that man is saved and can enter into the gates of heaven. If you want to be saved, if you want to walk through the valley of the SHADOW of death, and not death itself, then you must accept Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior.
You see, when there is a shadow, it is a reflection of the light. For those who are hid in Christ Jesus, when they die, they won't "SEE" death, they will only see the Shadow of death. I truly believe that the Light of Christ is so bright, that it shines in the face of death, and therefore those who are HIS when they die, they will only see the Shadow of Death.
If you want to be "HID" in Christ, to know that you are His, it is important to realize that there is nothing you can do to be saved!
"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast." (Ephesians 2:8-9)
You can not be good enough, give enough money, tithe enough, or even pay for your loved one's salvation after he or she dies. There is absolutely nothing that you can do to be saved, except believe in Jesus Christ of Nazareth and the Power of His Resurrection.
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." (John 3:16)
"But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners. Christ died for us." (Romans 5:8)
"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved." (Romans 10:9)
Now, if you want to be saved, and only see the Shadow of Death, and then spend eternity with Christ, then you need to pray and ask Him into your heart.
Read your Bible, if you don't understand it, that is fine. Just pray for God to give you wisdom to understand His Word, He will give you the understanding! You see, He is Real. When you pray, He will hear you and answer. Many people don't understand what the Bible says, they say it is like reading a book in Greek or a foreign language. Ask God to show His Word to you, while you read and study, He will unfold it before your eyes and speak its truth to your heart.
Going to church is very important, however, it won't get you saved. Pray for God to lead you to a church, don't just jump into the first church you find. Pray, believe, and trust God, He will lead you!
The real meaning of being saved, is that you are now in restored and right relationship with God.
