Twenty plus years after the initial thunder that rolled through you when you first looked into the talented actor/singer's enigmatic eyes, you have found a home. After late night on-line searches for anything that had to do with Leif, we all finally found The Leif Garrett Tribute Pages. It was wonderful! A message board, current information, stories from those who had actually seen him in person, and best yet......A CHAT ROOM! How perfect was this?!
We each spent many, many trips going into the chat room, waiting for anyone to join us. Each of us wondered if we were the only one interested in chatting about Leif. No, this whole website was dedicated to him...someone else had to want to chat. Some of us e-mailed a suggestion to Breian (the website owner), suggesting that she set up a chat schedule of some sort. We were thrilled when she replied that there were other people interested in a chat schedule as well!
And so began the journey into our Leif-in-common friendships. Little by little and one by one, we have grown into a small, but tight-knit group of friends. We were brought together by our interest in Leif, but we have 'evolved' if you will, into more than that. We have shared a lot in the last few years and have come to know much about each others' lives and personalities.
