Cat-Man Do

Adam Pryn didn't know if it were a dream. He woke
up in the middle of the night to a strange whistling sound.
He went to the window and lifted the shade. To his
surprise, the sky was as bright as day. Adam looked up and
discovered three glowing objects passing overhead. As soon
as they were out of view, the glow faded away.
His next surprise was waiting when he turned to the
mirror. His face was glowing! Adam suddenly heard
something pounding; it was his heart beating triple-time.
He staggered forward, gripping the edge of the sink.
No--that was not a face he saw but a shimmering mask! Now
he wore the face of a goat; in the next instant, that of a
cat, then a wolf. There were even faces of other people:
Mother, Father, brother Dan, best friend Dave. They were
all there, staring at him from the mirror.
The next thing he knew, he was staring into the eyes of his
own countenance and it was talking to him. It said, "We
are you and you are us. You can become one of us at any
time you feel the wish or need. Farewell." Then the room
started spinning around and Adam felt a numbness around his
nose and eyes. After that, nothing.
