Hello again and welcome to this page of my original poetry
All of these were written by me for people I know or just to release my own feelings
So sit back and have a cup of coffee or whatever and look into my soul..*S*
ANGEL OF THE WIND
For the beauty of you,the flowers sing
The clouds part, and the day begins
For your beauty the wind sighs and moans
It's just the way you are

For your golden hair sparkles in the light
your eyes capture my soul
they are windows to my heart
and i have surrendered

Is it the way you tilt your head?
Or the laughter in your voice?
Or the smile you bring to my face
when your name I see?

For it is the face of an angel I see
flowing through my mind
and she dances on the wind
like a feather in the sky

My love grows wings and joins you on the wind
We dance together hand in hand
And life seems frozen for a minute in time
Two souls melted as one

And my thoughts return to you,my love
A simple man tho I be
With nothing but a song in my heart
To give to you this day

So take my love and guard it
for it is a sacred vow
of my undying love
for my angel of the wind

FOR A FRIEND
The glow of a warm summer night,so promising of love
The fireflies twinkle their way through the air
And thoughts of days gone by invade your soul
When things were so alive

Life has taken its twists and turns through your heart
It's winding road has left it's mark
The wind whispers it's call of silence
And you know your alone

You remember the time he first held your hand
How your hands fit so well
You think of how the blood rushed to your head
Of thoughts that you wanted to tell

You spoke volumes with just a wink of an eye
With just a tilt of your head
He spoke back with that smile that said
I love you more than myself

But now that seems so far away
So distant in the night
For all the miles you traveled together
Somehow you feel it's not right

So you travel the wind in search of that feeling
You try so hard to catch it's scent
But the road still twists and turns
Usless energy spent

And the night gives up it's hold
The rays of dawn are near
And the fireflies stop their dance
As you dry that last tear

I'M ASHAMED
i'm ashamed
i'm ashamed at the heartbreak we cause
without a thought or care
To the levels we will sink
no compassion, a spider's lair

I'm ashamed at what a friend will do
all in the name of love
It's the game of life
or so I've been told

I'm ashamed at the cost of it
this unanswered quest
Is all fair?
Or does that have no meaning

I'm ashamed at you and I
cause we play the game
Where is the passion?
Where is the joy?

Oh what a fool believes
never seeing the truth
it lies to us knowing
we need to feel warm

I'm ashamed at myself
for not seeing it coming
and for the pain and tears it brought
it is a black stain on my soul,never cleansed

But the light may bring some promise
of a story yet unfolded
If we open our eyes and see
It may be the greatest yet told

So I say this and scream it to the winds
May it be heard over heaven's thunder
That I am ashamed and a fool
That I would allow such plunder

LUNATIC OF THE WIND
They say I'm crazy
Lunatic of the wind
A rider of all that's hazy
Maybe I am
Maybe I am of another time
When a flower smelled so sweet
Maybe that is the price I pay
For having no world at my feet

Maybe the day of lunacy
That I seek and seem to find
Is nothing more than a reflection
Of what is in my mind

WASTED TIME
The days turn to nights
nights to months and months to years
It passes as a moment
just a speck in time

And what do we say when the moment is done
Can we look at ourselves and know where we've been?
Or is it a ride with no reason or rhyme?
Or can it be just wasted time

So many times we call it a day
nothing accomplished, no more to say
The soul cries out wanting more
but we just close and lock the door

And time marches relentlesly, beating it's drum
And passes us by, we players in the band
How I wish I could say,with firmness of heart
that my time has been fruitful,that I took a stand

But oh how the time has fallen
it passed without notice
and all that we have
is wasted time

Why do we hide these feelings we share
We steal into the night not knowing where to go
For the twilights fine myst is in the air
And our blood begins to flow

To touch your hair,your face
Oh the beauty that I see
The thunder in my heart
Grows wings and is set free

Our eyes talk in volumes
our souls intertwine
your scent is of honeysuckle
oh how I yearn

The sunrise beams over the hills
it is now time to part
till again do we meet
in our minds little spot

GOODBYE ERIC RED
God needed him,or so it must be
To take him so soon,from you and me
Heaven has added one more good soul
A man has died,an angel is born

We will miss you,eric my friend
Your name no more to see
But you will live forever
In our hearts and souls,your free!

He is in a better place
Far removed from pain
Where his flowers gently grow
In God's loving rain

We celebrate your life,Stellan
Even through our tears
You gave us joy and laughter
That will last for all the years

THE LAST HURRAH
And now the last hurrah has sounded
a message so faint in the wind
It gathers no moss on this world
and only the lonely give heed

Take care to hear it,my friends
For it sounds for you and me
A moment in time is all it is
it longs to set us free

Your soul and mine,in danger
We wince from the call
But no more can we ignore it
or it shall swallow us whole

'Tis time we cared for each other
and carry each others burdens
I offer you my shoulder
will you offer me yours?

Hold high the principles
those that we hold so dear
And make my troubles yours
As I take yours with no fear

The flower of humanity
so sweet a sight to me
is lost on the horizon
falling fast,you see?
