In January 8th the members of Republican League (Katowice Dept.) organized
the 
picket before British Consulate in Katowice (Poland).
They tendered the petition into hands of Hon. Consul addressed to The House
of Lords
with the following text:

Ladies and Gentlemen,

We would like to express our deep concern about the decisions of the
British authorities regarding general Augusto Pinochet, taken in the recent
months. We are aware the design to pronounce on this man is not an
expression of anxiety for justice and human dignity but an attempt to take
revenge on the political opponent.
It is a paradox of history that those who served the most inhuman ideology
and system, constituting the biggest threat to democracy and freedom,
nowadays, invoking human rights, are trying to take advantage of democratic
institutions to perform political vengeance.
The merits of general Pinochet to his own country are widely recognized:
economic development, creating perspectives for millions of his countrymen,
finally voluntary relinquishment of power. We do not deny the price for
saving Chile was high. General Pinochet does not either. It shall be
remembered however that the Chilean conflict was a part of a global war
waged against free world by communism. It was not general Pinochet who laid
down the rules of this conflict. He managed however to show the willpower
and determination, so often found lacking in leaders of free nations in the
face of a totalitarian menace. Due to General Chile did not share the fate
of Cuba and Nicaragua who plunged into chaos and crime under the marxist rule.
The cause of Augusto Pinochet has one more, supralocal dimension. Following
years of success of the expansionist Soviet Union policy the Chilean coup
d'état showed to the world that the triumphant march of communism could be
restrained. No one can more fully appreciate the importance of this fact
than the inhabitants of our country who at that time suffered injustice
under the rule of the communist dictatorship.
We place our confidence in your sense of justice. We believe you will
remain true to the tradition of the United Kingdom which for many years
constitutes one of the most unyielding bastions of freedom. We appeal to
your conscience. Do not let the participation in the vendetta of Bolshevist
aftercomers to stain the honour of your country!

Estimados señores:

Por la presente queremos expresar nue stra inquietud por motivo de la
resolución de las autoridades de Gran Bretaña que digan la relación con el
asunto, asi llamado, General Pinochet, decisiones que han sido tomadas en
el curso de los últimos meses. Nosotros, abajo firmados, estamos plenamente
concientes que cualesquiera juicio de este hombre, de ninguno lugar, pued
constituir el cuidado de la justicia y dignidad humana, sino que es una
verdadera venganza personal.
        La paradoja de la historia humana consiste en que la gente que prastaba
sus servicios inhumanas, ideologías fuera de la conciencia de la libertad y
demorcracia, hoy día están llamando dolos derechos humanos, tratando de
aprovechar las instituciones oficiales con fines de la venganza politíca.
Los benémeritos del General Augusto Pinochet, tanto para su patria, como
para sus compatriotas en millones contando, nunca pueden olvidarse; tampoco
dejando el poder en las manos de los políticos democráticamente elegidos,
ha mostado su la mejor voluntad para sevir a la Nación y a su Patria;
aunque el precio por la Patria era muy elevado. De todas maneras, Chile ha
pagado su precio por la libertad. El General Pinochet nunca tuvo el interés
en provocar esta lamendable situación. De niguna manera, hizo El General
Pinochet que el país es en el orbita del mundo, siempre hay que tener en
cuenta que el conflícto politico chileno era un contexto de la guerra, la
cual el comunismo internacional intentaba provocar a casi todo el mundo.
El Homrbre como el General Pinochet siempre debe tener las en mente
circunstancias extra tiempo, pero siempre teniendo en cuenta su Patria. De
niguna manera el General arreglaba la situación para el bien de Nacion;
naipes que faltaban alos lideres de las naciones libres, en especial cuando
se habian encontrado en la amenaza de la invasión del sistema totalitario.
La causa del señor Augusto Pinochet lleva consigo otro problema con rasgos
extraordinarios. Despues del los anos de los magnifícos efectos económicos,
en los cuales el General Augusto Pinochet hizo su increbanyble papel, este
Hombre a demostrado a varios lideres del mundo como oponerse a la amenaza
del comunismo y totalirazmo. A merced del General, este fabuloso país que
es Chile nunca más es parecido a Cuba y Nocargua, países que estan en el
yugo del caos y geocidio.
        Asi llamada la causa del General Augusto Pinochet aparece despues de los
anos que paradijicamente la Unión Soviética ha dejado de existir y la
revolución chilena pudo mostrar que este inhumano y totalitario sistema
debe desaperecer.
        Estamos confiando en la justicia y cremos que la Justicia de Gran Bretana,
como siempre estará en el bastión de la democracia y libertad. Hacemos esta
voz a sus conciencias. Nunca olviden la revancha no es lo mismo que la
libertad. Nunca olviden que en la despedida de los epigonos del
bolchevismo, sea el su honor y en la Nación de su país.
