Brooke is Seven and a Half Years Old
Ashlyn is Three Years Old

Ashlyn started the day off helping her grandmother decorate her horse cake. It had more than horses added by the time they were done with it

Carey and Jason, friends Beth and Jay, Jessica's cousin and her family, and Jessica's aunt and uncle were there from Wyoming. They had baked ziti and salad for dinner. Then the kids played in the yard while the grownups finished eating their dinner.

Ashlyn had lots of presents to open. Once she started it was hard to keep track of it all! She got a barn for her horses, some play dough, little horses and more. She got little "My Little Ponies" and her mom and dad got her a "v smile" tv game.

Her gift from her grandmother was saved for last because they knew if they gave it to her earlier that would be the end of opening presents! She got her Butterscotch the Pony. It was the only thing she had asked for. They kept telling her they weren't sure she would get it because it was so expensive, but Jessica's mom came through with it. She hugged it as soon as she pulled the paper off. She was so excited!

After that they had cake and all went out to look at Christmas lights in Port Orange. When they got back Ashlyn ended up playing with her barn but she made sure she kept an eye on her Butterscotch. Butterscotch is really cool; she makes the sound of eating when you put a carrot in her mouth, she turns her head and whinnies at you, she turns her head the direction she hears you calling her name and when you get on her she makes a walking sound. The best thing is there are no vet bills or feed bills. The best pony to own!

Carey and Jason got Brooke a TV and Ashlyn a DVD player. They were excited about those. Their mom and dad got them a swing set. They had to wait until the next day to play with it because they were gone the whole day.
