Boyd is Eight Years Old!!!!

Puppy rug from Aunt Ellie and Uncle I.D.

Boyd's birthday was August 19th. He opened Aunt Laurie and Uncle Eric's presents first. It's so fun to give things to Boyd because he's so appreciative of everything, and so excited. His face is so expressive, I really don't need to add much commentary, do I.

"oh, cool!"

When he opened up the Luigi keychain that Laurie got for him, Becky said, "ahhh, it still has that new keychain smell."

"it's like a science kit!"

Poor Rosie had a cold, she was so pitiful with her little red-rimmed eyes and runny nose. She was so miserable, she didn't even get jealous about Boyd having all those presents to open like she hadn't liked it when she didn't have any presents at Bishy's party.

Dwight commented that there was no "theme" to Boyd's presents like there had seemed to be for Elizabeth's.

"yay! bubble wrap!"
"Wednesday, play with your food!"

"instructions" with plate
that will be fun!

Next he opened up the presents from his Mom and Dad - his longed-for ipod touch, with accessories. It was hard for him to open up the rest of the presents after that, he just wanted to play with his ipod. Dwight wasn't jealous now that both Bishy and Boyd have ipods. He's very excited because now "the computer is all mine!" he said. One of the very first things Boyd did was play "Minecraft" on his ipod, I think that is the main reason he wanted it. But he still wants an x-box too. Bishy told him that he might be able to find a good deal on one with his birthday money at The Game Stop.

YAY!

Boyd has been asking me periodically for weeks if I can get some more buttermints, like the ones we brought home from Nicole's wedding. We hunted all over for them this past weekend and finally found some that even had "happy birthday" wrappers on them. When Boyd opened them (in this first picture) he was underwhelmed, lol.
