Birthday Party!

Boyd had his boom box all set up to play his jams.
The party suddenly kicked into high gear as the music
started and he opened his first present!

Boyd started by opening his presents from Grandma and Grandpa. He got some left-handed scissors, watercolors, and a giant set of markers. He also got a Toy Story read-along. His mom and dad gave him "Diary of a Wimpy Kid," one of his favorite all-time movies ever. He sure was excited to see that, and wanted to watch it that night. His mom and dad also gave him a stack of "new" books (from the Book Cellar).

And Woody! Hooray! This was from Grammy and Granddad. (He had requested a Woody doll and Becky bought it with the money they sent. It wasn't exactly the Woody that he wanted - she couldn't find that one in the stores anymore - but Boyd didn't seem to mind one bit.) It turned out to be one of his favorite gifts of all!

Then he opened his camcorder "Flip Cam" from his mom and dad. When he first opened it, he wasn't quite sure what it was.

After opening his card from
Grammy, Boyd proclaimed,
"I can read it myself."
Grammy gave Boyd a Woody doll from
Toy Story. He played with that doll
all night, it rarely left his side.

Then he opened the big present from Aunt Laurie and Uncle Eric. And boy, was he excited to see that construction worker kit, his very own set of Construction Guy tools! Boyd kept repeating over and over, "Dad! Now I can help you! Now I can help you at work, Dad!" You can see how surprised he was to open up the Spongebob digital camera from Aunt Laurie and Uncle Eric. Bishy didn't think it was fair that he got a video camera and a digital camera.

Uncle Grizzly! What could it be???

A SpongeBob digital
camera! No way!

He thought the bacon scented bandaids from Aunt Laurie and Uncle Eric were really funny. Aunt Laurie also sent bacon-scented soap. Ellie sniffed it and said, "Ewww!" Mommy sniffed it and said, "Ewww!" Dwight sniffed it and said, "Yum!" The boys liked that smell and thought it would be totally kewl to spend the day smelling like bacon. EWE!!

Here are the "nuudles" that I.D. and Ellie gave him. In the next picture he wonders what's in this other package from Aunt Laurie and Uncle Eric. It was a Bigfoot T-shirt! Neat-O!

have for me?
it's Bigfoot!

Laurie and Eric also sent a googly-eye book for the whole family - and the whole family sure enjoyed it!

I.D. and Ellie gave Boyd a teeny-weeny birthday card like the one they gave Bishy. I.D. folded up a $5 and a $1 really teensy and stuck them in there. Then Becky asked Boyd, "You got a five and a one, how much money is that?" "Fifteen!" he answered. I.D. and Ellie also got him a sticker book of Lego Roblox that Dwight helped pick out when he was with Aunt Ellie at Books-A-Million. Dwight probably would have liked that Roblox sticker book for himself.

Boyd got a ladybug "pillow pet" from Grandma and Grandpa. Dwight got his pillow pet bee without waiting for his birthday - he'd have had to wait until January. After the boys had their new pillow pets Bishy went and got her panda and brought it out...

Boyd thought it was so funny how Woody was sleeping on his ladybug.

No more Pillow Pet envy! Now they each have their own. Thanks, Grandma!

Dwight is the sweetest boy ever. Here's a picture of the birthday card he made for Boyd. Boyd didn't seem to appreciate the card Dwight made but we adults sure appreciated it. Then Woody helped Boyd open his other cards.

The reason Boyd wanted a video camera was so that he could film his toys and stuffed animals doing stuff. Then he could put his videos on You tube.

her will (which he so clearly enjoys!)

When it was time for cake, Dwight was more than happy to take over filming, as you can see by the cute little grin on his face. Then it was time for Boyd to blow out his candles.
