Once In A Blue Moon...

The rippling waves gently break, rolling onto the sandy shore
As the evening unfolds, darkness slowly covers the lagoon
Walking arm in arm with my love, our feelings begin to soar
As we look to the horizon and see the elevating Blue Moon.

To others the moon is an omen to worship or to fear
It's unique mystical presence rare and gone all too soon
Our hearts begin to race when its stately rays first appear
As we witness the dancing reflections of the Blue Moon.

Quietly we stare in amazement, enveloped in a cool sea breeze
Surrounded by sand and water and covered in light of the moon
To what do we owe this vision flickering across the seas?
It is destiny unfolding in the presence of the Blue Moon.

During this magical time of the century as the moon passes by
Embraced with a love so strong which no one can ruin
Together we stand silent witness to this spectacular vision in the sky
Forever in Love and sealed with a kiss, under the Blue Moon.

With champagne glasses sparking like crystal lenses,
We gently tap them together and hear its resonating tune.
To our lips the taste of champagne heightens our senses
And we know a love like ours happens... "Once in a Blue Moon".
