Bodyguard's Lair

AHHHHHHHH!!!!!! I see you have finally arrived. Here you will find out things about me and my job that you never knew. FOLLOW ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As many know I am a forty (yes 40) year old correctional officer from Northern California. I work in California's super maximum security prison right along side California's worst convicted felons. I've been employed as a correctional officer for nearly 13 years now and each and every day I walk the toughest beat in the state never knowing if today will be the day.....

California now has some 32 prisons, which house more than 100,000 convicted rapists, robbers, and murderers. Daily as I walk that lonely beat I come face to face with some of the world's most celebrated criminals such as Charles Manson. Also mixed in amongst these celebrated individuals are the not so celebrated, such as Tupi Hernandez, John Stinson, Kenneth Carter, etc....... These gentleman are the heads of California's most dangerous and violent prison gangs, La Eme,The Aryan Brotherhood, and the BGF(Black Guerilla Family).

La Eme(The Mexican Mafia)
There is a power struggle for the control of the organization between Ruben "Tupi" Hernandez,35 and the prison gang's alledged Godfather, Benjamin "Topo" Peters, 54.
Founded in the late 1950s when inmates from several Eastside barrios joined behind bars to form a "gang of gangs," the Mexican Mafia has an estimated 400 to 600 members in the penal system and perhaps twice as many affiliates or sympathizers on the outside. For years, the gang has controlled narcotics distribution, gambling and prostitution at many state prisons. Realizing the money-making potential, the Mexican Mafia has spread its corrupting influence on the streets.

The Aryan Brotherhood(AB)
Origin: The AB originated in San Quentin prison in 1967. Originally, this gang was established to provide protection for white individuals from Black and Hispanic groups. Some of the original members of the AB had been members in a 1950's gang known as the "Bluebirds," and other names used were the "Diamond Tooth Gang" and the "Nazi Gang." Philosophy: The philosophical premise of the AB and its members consists of a mixture of ideologies of white supremacy and German and Irish ancestry; over the years, the AB has moved away from the Neo-Nazi philosophy, with group members identifying more with Irish ancestry and Norse/Viking symbolism and history. The AB has a "blood in-blood out" philosophy, meaning that members kill to gain admission and only are released from membership by their own death. Most members are apolitical and the group's primary orientation now is drug trafficking. Gender/Racial Makeup: While consisting only of white members, there are documented instances where AB members will associate with blacks (but not admit them to its membership) when they are needed for drug and extortion transactions. Before gaining membership, a recruit must prove his dedication by carrying out a murder of a person targeted for death by the AB. This ritual is called, "making your bones." Membership is considered to be for life; the only way out of the AB is by death, either natural or by the hands of another (including an AB member). Recruits must receive a unanimous vote from existing members. This often results in close association of numerous inmates who -- while subscribing to the AB's tenets and having "made their bones" -- are not actual members due to a failure to gain unanimous approval. The AB is active both in prison as well as in communities. Members released from prison are expected to dedicate themselves to supporting members who are still incarcerated. Leadership/organizational Structure: From all indications, key decisions and murders must be approved by a "Commission" before being implemented. Members of the Commission communicate via correspondence routed through third parties in the community or during social and attorney visits. In addition, gang members are often "writted" to a single institution from other facilities under the guise of testifying in a court case, so they can hold a gang meeting. Other Information: Many original AB members have been killed or have become protection cases and are separated from other gang members. Most of the AB-related violence in recent years has been directed at its own membership.

The BGF (Black Guerilla Family)
The BGF(Black Guerilla Family) claims to be a non-violent revolutionary organization. In fact they are an extremely violent prison gang, headed by Kenneth Carter,44,(The Supreme Dragon)with revolutionary overtones. They promote the prosperity of the African-American people by any means available, which does include murder. The BGF are involved in murder, intimidation, drugs, and prostitution inside the prison system and also in the communities of the United States. Although the BGF claim to be non-violent they are responsible for the brutal slaying of Correctional Sergeant Hal Burchfield on the tiers of San Quentin State Prison in 1985.
