Tim "Fuzzy" Hall is one of the greatest dirt jumpers of all time, and Mongoose has honored him with his own signature bike. This is the 1998 model, and it is definitely one of the greatest dirt jumping bike of all time.
These are some changes from the 1997 model, the extended chainstay tubes that ran along the bottom are gone. Also, the dropouts are thickened up a "freewheel protecter" has been added, and chain tensioners are now built in. The geometry is still the same, 73.5-degree head angle, 71-degree seat tube angle, 21.6-inch top tube, and 15.3-inch contoured chain stays. The head tube has also been reinforced and thickened.
HITS
The frame and fork are both reinforced, a definite plus for dirt jumping
The dropouts have been redone and now include chain tensioners.
Profile cranks come standard on The Fuzz.
MISSES
The layback seatpost is not really needed, it makes it more difficult to perform barspin and no handed variation tricks where you pinch the seat with your legs.
