Is Paleontology a Joke?

The creationist loves to spread out incorrect information, here is part of a letter I got.

Paleontology dates things in circles, we know this fossil is so old from the rock it was in, and we know the rock is so old from the fossil in it. Also C14 radiocarbon dating is very, very wrong.

Paleontology no longer uses C14 radiocarbon dating, the cause of it's inaccuracies was that it dated the fungus and growths on the material. The main form of radiocarbon dating now is AMS (Accelerated Mass Spectometry). This form of dating has been proven very accurate.

As a science goes, paleontology is very accurate, it is not by any means the joke that creationists want you to believe.
