Backstreet Boys!

The Boys have come quite far from being a band nobody had ever heard of (in the States, anyway)to being one of the most followed pop bands out. They've inspired several wannabee bands to release hits.
The Story
When the boys (AJ, Kevin, Howie,
Nick, and Brian) released their first CD, America
wasn't interested in them at all. That was 1993. At
that time everyone liked alternative music, and a lot
of people refused to listen to anything else. Also,
the New Kids on The Block were around then, and
everyone thought the Backstreet Boys were "put
together" like the New Kids on the Block. In the rest
of the world, the kinds of music the boys sang was
still listened too. So the Boys took a chance, released
Backstreet Boys their first album all over.
The Americans didn't like it - it flopped- and so they
concentrated on Europe and Canada, releasing
Backstreets Back and several singles.
The Singles
The first Backstreet Boy single released was We've got it
goin' on. A dancy, pop song it was reminiscent of the New Kids'
music. Hence, the comparisons began and have grown since.
I'll Never Break Your Heart was another of the boys' earlier singles, released first in Canada and Europe.
A couple of years after the release of this song it was re-released onto the American market and became the first BSB
song with a seperate American and Canadian videos. The Canadian video shows the boys sledding with some girls and
Brian is "seducing" a girl who has been hurt in the past. The American video shows each boy in a room with a girl.
