"Wow! Jenna, everyone is going to flip when they find that you are going out with Nick!" Katie said.

"Well, were not going to tell everyone! Just my closest friends. He is only going to tell the guys and his family. We don't want to cause a riot!" Jenna said jokingly.

The guys had finally arrived at Jenna's. This time it was Brian's jeep that was going to be their transportation. Kevin followed behind Brian.

Jenna skeptically looked around at this horror fest. It didn't look very enjoyable to her. Their was an hour long haunted house. She had been through tiny ones, but never ones that lasted an hour.

"Brian? Could you hold my hand?" Katie asked shyly.

Brian smiled at her. Of course he would hold her hand. That is why he loved horror fest. All the girls get scared.

"Sure Katie! Don't worry, your going to be allright in their. I'll protect you." He said. He grabbed a hold of her hand.

"Guys! We didn't bring any girls for us to hold on too!" A.J. said.

"Why don't you guys just go down to the film festival. I'm sure you will find plenty of girls waiting for three available guys to protect them." Jenna said.

"Good Idea!" Kevin said.

"Yeah, thanks Jenna!" Howie said.

Kevin, Howie, and A.J. were gone so fast. As soon as they heard the word 'girls' they took off in a flash. The line to the haunted house was getting shorter and shorter. Soon it was time for four more people. Nick, Jenna, Brian and Katie stepped in the house. The doors closing behind them.

"Their shutting the doors?" Jenna had asked.

Nick tightened his grip on her hand reassuringly.

"Yeah! They shut the doors. Don't worry, you'll be fine. I promise!" Nick said sweetly.

The four of them were lead through a hall way of darkness and smoke. Katie and Jenna clutching onto Brian and Nick.

The four of them were given instructions to follow the arrows that glowed on the floor beneath them. They did as they were told. But they ended up following down the wrong path because one of the arrows lights blew out. The main reason they were told to follow the arrows was because of the mechanical stuff they use in the haunted house. They have canon's and fire works! Nick ended up leading the group threw the mechanical area.

"Nick? Were are we?" Brian asked. Katie still held onto him.

"I don't know! They changed this from last year. Right about now, last year their was a guy cooking up body parts." Nick said.

"Ewww! Can we just go now? Please! I am getting really scared!" Jenna said.

Right when she said that they heard a loud noise. It sounded like a furness kicking on. But it wasn't a furness. It was the row of fire works being electronically set up. They walked right down the path of the fire works. As if it were bad timing, the one set up near Jenna went off.

"JENNA?" Nick screamed.

Jenna was flown through the air, and knocked down on to the ground. All three ran over to her.

"Jenna? Jenna!" Katie screamed.

Brian held Katie back. He feared she might be seriously inured.

Nick ran over to her. He immediatly picked her up and told them all to run. The next set of fire works were being set off. When they were in the clear, Nick placed Jenna down on the floor. She wasn't bleeding anywhere. The right and left side of her face was a little smokey. He had placed his fingers by her neck checking for a pulse. He found one!

"She's breathing!" Nick yelled

"Thank god!" Brian said.

"Why isn't she awake yet?" Katie asked.

"I don't know. J...Jenn....Jenna! Come on sweety! Come on!" Nick said as he gently slapped her cheeks.

Jenna began to slowly shift her head back and forth. She fluttered her eyes open. When she woke up she saw Nick, Brian, and Katie huddled over her.

"Oh Jenna! Your awake!" Nick said.

Jenna looked at him confusingly. For some reason she saw Nick's mouth moving, but she didn't hear any sound coming from him. Jenna opened her mouth to talk.

"Nick?" She said quietly.

"Yeah! Jenna, I'm right here! Oh god, you scared us so much! I wasn't sure you would wake up." Nick said.

Once again, all she saw was his lips moving. She heard absolutely no sound coming from his lips.

"Why aren't either of you talking?" Jenna asked confused.

The three of them looked at each other. They were talking. What did she mean?

"What are you talking about Jenna? Come on, let's get you back to Tampa." Nick said.

"Stop playing around! Your scaring me! Please talk to me! Why are you just moving your lips? Please talk to me!" Jenna said. She began to cry.

"Nick? Her ears!" Brian said.

"Oh god! No!" Katie said. She began to cry.

"Jenna? Baby, can you hear me?" Nick said.

He wrapped his arms around her neck, and spoke into her ear. He just wanted to see if she would get anything from him.

"Please! This is scaring me. Why can't I hear you?" She cried.

Nick slumped down on to the floor. He put his head in his hands and silently cried. He blamed himself for Jenna not being able to hear. Jenna just watched Nick with a confused look. She didn't remember what had happened. She didn't know why she couldn't hear.
