Chapter 6
"Hey Frack!" Brian yelled as he walked into the studio where he was suppose to pick up his friend.
"Hey, Frick!" Nick returned the greeting.
"So, how did it go?" Brian asked, cutting right to the chase.
"It was her. It was Tabitha."
"Yeah, you already told me her name before you came here."
"No stupid! It was Tabitha, the girl that I went to school with. It was her. And she is staying at the same hotel we are. You know that little girl that we were making faces at yesterday?"
"Yeah, what about her?"
"Her name is Kelly. She is Tabitha’s little sister. She is so funny. She’s a little angel."
"Yeah, I bet. She looks like she couldn’t hurt a fly if her life depended on it."
"Well, I don’t know about that. But is very smart for a three year old. She picks up new words very quickly."
"Nick! What did you teach that little girl to say?" Brian looked at Nick, both surprised and sorta worried. Nick laughed at him.
"Brian, chill. Tabs and I were talking and I asked her if I could call her Tabs. She said yeah and that I could call her butthead if I wanted to but that she preferred that I didn’t. Then Kelly came over and called Tabitha a butthead. I guess you sorta had to be there."
"Yeah I guess. So are we going to go do something or are we going to sit here and talk about Tabitha and her little sister all day?"
"Lets go. But we can’t stay out too late because I’m suppose to call Tabitha and then go see her mother. I haven’t seen her since I was 7."
"That’s a long time. Oh and you never really answered my question. How did the shoot go?"
Nick thought over the last few hours and smiled. "It went very well. I had a lot of fun."

"Tabs! How did everything go?" Lynn asked as soon as she heard the door to the room open.
"Mom! Shhhhhh! Kelly’s asleep."
"Oh, OK. Give her to me and I’ll put her to bed. I’ll be right back."
"OK" Tabitha said, handing her sister to their mother. "I’m going to call Jess and then Meg."
"OK. You can go into your room if you want." Tabitha nodded and walked into her room off the main living area of the suite the three of them were sharing.
Once she was inside and the door was shut she sat on her bed and picked up the phone. ‘I’ll call Jess first.’ She thought and began to dial the area code for Jamestown, followed by her friends number.
It rang once, twice, three times before someone picked up the phone. "Hello?" It was a male voice that Tabitha immediately recognised.
"Hey, Robby! It’s Tabitha. Go get your sister."
"Nice to talk to you too. I’ll go find Jess. Hold on a second." Tabitha waited while she heard Jessica’s older brother yell for her. "OK. Here she is."
"Tabby?" Her friend’s voice came on the line.
"Yeah, Jess, it’s me."
"Hey! What’s up? How are thing’s in LA? You meet the guy that you are working with?"
"Yeah, I met him and we did all of the major shooting today. The rest of it, you know the small things, will be done tomorrow and then I have the rest of the week to my self."
"That’s cool. So who are you working with?"
"Actually, he’s an old friend. You know how I told you that I went to school with Nick Carter of the Backstreet Boys in pre-school?"
"Yeah." Jessica was a huge BSB fan, but not overly obsessive. Meg was the same way. "What about it?"
"Well, guess who I’m working with."
"NO WAY!!! You said that you were only working with one guy!"
"I am. See, all the guys have solos and Nick was shooting the video for his. It’s a really cool video. I think you’ll like it."
"I bet I will!"
"Hey Jess, do you know if Meg is home?"
"As far as I know she is. Why?"
"Hmmmm let me think about that one Jess. Maybe I want to tell her what I just told you."
"Oh yeah. Sorry."
"Hold on a sec. I’m going to call her three-way. That way I can tell her, then I can click you into the conversation and we can all talk."
"Why don’t you just click me in and then tell her."
"Because you would tell her everything before I had the chance. Jess, I’ve known you for ten years, I think I know that much."
"Point made. Call Meg and tell her. I’ll wait."
"OK. I’ll be back in a few."

"Hey Nicky? How did it go?" AJ asked when Nick and Brian got back to the hotel a little later. It was about 10:30. OK, so a lot later. (Hehehe) "Was she a hottie?"
"AJ!!!"
"What? Amanda’s not around. I can look as long as I don’t touch."
"Well, you better not touch this one. It’s seems that Nick here has known her since he was 7." Brian informed their friend.
"Oh. I didn’t know or else I wouldn’t have asked."
"Yes you would have, Bone."
"OK, I would have but…….oh never mind."
"Yeah, that’s what I thought! But, for your information, she definitely isn’t the little girl that I left in Jamestown. She’s grown up. A LOT!" Nick said, sitting down on the couch, next to AJ.
"Yeah, well that does tend to happen Nick. You should know all about that. Or do you still need to be told about the birds and the bees?"
"Shut up, AJ!! Anyway, I was suppose to call her and then go and see her mom. Do you think that I should? I mean I don’t want to wake her up."
"Nick, if she is like any other 17 year old, she just got off the phone from calling friends back home."
"Yeah, your right. I’ll call her."
Nick got up from the couch and walked over to the desk, where the phone was. He picked it up and dialled the room number that Tabitha had given him earlier.
