"God, what if they hate me? What if they think I'm unworthy of staying in their sons house? Will I meet their requirments? Their all so rich. In more ways then one. I'm obviously not!" She was interrupted by the sound of car doors shutting.
Madison peeked out through the window and saw a pretty blonde. She looked like she could be Nick's twin, if he had one. Then A tiny, adorable version of Nick. And two little girls clinging to Nick and Brian. One she assumed was Angel and the other, Leslie.
"Well, this is it! There here. I hope the house is clean enough. Crap, is their dust on that end table. Oh my, I better get the rag!" She rushed to get the rag from the kitchen and by the time everyone had walked in, she was on her knees cleaining.
"Madison?" Nick looked at her questioningly from the ground.
She blushed and then smiled as everyone was looking at her. She stood up and waved nervously.
"What are you doing? Wow! This house is so clean!" Nick said while placing his hand on the small of her back and inching her closer to his family.
"I-I missed a spot. Sorry." She smiled a small smile.
"Oh, honey, don't worry! I'm Jane!" His mom pulled her into a tight hug.
The hug felt really nice to Madison. It was like a sympathetic hug. But, deeper then that. She held onto Jane like it was a form of life support. She got caught up in the fact that Jane wasn't in fact her mother. She blushed and pulled away.
"I'm s-sorry." She stuttered nervously again.
"No! Madison. No apologies, ok? Their's no need." Jane patted down Madison's thick light brown hair and smiled.
Madison nodded and was introduced to the rest of the Carter Clan.

Jane and Madison were in the kitchen, clearing away dishes while Nick's father was out at the store. Nick took his siblings upstairs and helped them get set up in their normal guest rooms. However, they were short one room.
"BJ? Would you want to room with Madison?" Nick asked.
"Sure. I'll just make a bed on the floor." She said while smiling.
"Thanks, Beej!" Nick said while patting her on the shoulder.
Nick went into Aaron's room and helped him and Angel settle in with the twin beds.
"Nick? Madison lost her mother, huh?" Angel said unexpectedly.
Nick turned around and faced his little sister. She looked up at him with sad eyes. Nick nodded.
"Yeah, she lose her mother. She's got alot of things that she has to deal with. So, I'm trying to make things easier for her by having her stay here with me."
"That's a good idea, Nick. She seems really nice and she's very pretty." Aaron said.
Nick laughed lightly at Aaron. "She's a little bit out of your league, A.C."
"I know, I know." Aaron sighed. "But she's perfect for you league, huh Nick?"
"Goodnight, Aaron!" Nick said.
"Right, Nick?" He repeated himself.
"Goodnight, Aaron."
Angel giggled and Aaron just through a pillow at Nick from the doorway.
