Madison rolled over and realised that no one was next to her. She thought Nick was next to her. She had thought he had went to sleep right next to her. But, then she thought maybe it was the pain medication that the hospital had given her. Maybe that is why she had thought Nick went to sleep next to her.
"Nick?" She said quietly.
She didn't hear any answers. She opened her eyes slowly and looked above her. The fort/tent was still set up abover her and she called his name again.
"Nick?" She said quietly. Nervousness filling her voice.
She wanted to get up, but her lets felt cramped just like the doctor's said would happened. She got scared. She couldn't move her legs.
"NICK!" She yelled.
Nick threw down the spatula in the sink and threw down his towel. He from the kitchen to the livingroom and was quickly at Madison's side.
"What? You alright. I'm sorry, I was just in the kitchen."
"I can't move my legs." She said while tears started to form in the corner of her eyes.
"Ok, ok, shhh..don't cry. Here let me help."
She layed down and watched as Nick carefully picked up one of her legs and began to rub them and massage them. She began to feel her legs getting more and more lose.
"Ok....that's good. Thanks."
Nick helped her sit up and then he helped her stand up. She held onto his hands and waited for her legs to regain feeling. That was one of the side effects of the pills they had given her. She held onto his hand and then she remembered the kiss.
"Nick?"
"Yeah..."
"Did I kiss you last night?" She asked.
"No..." He shook his head and watched as Madison grew disapointed.
He rubbed his thumb to her cheek and smiled.
"I kissed you."
Nick picked her up and lifted her into the kitchen. She giggled the whole way. He sat her down in a chair and served her breakfast.
