"Here it is. Does it meet your approval?" Nick asked while leading her into the livingroom.
"Nick, this is so cool! Their's so many pillows. But, only one sleeping bag?" She asked shyly.
"We only had one. But, I'll sleep off of it if you want."
SHe nodded her head 'no'. Nick smiled and they locked eyes one more time.
"Nah, we can share. I'm good at sharing."
"Great."
Nick and Madison had sat down in their fort when their was a knock on the door. They didn't bother answering the door because Nick knew if it was one of the guys they would just walk right in.
"Nick? Madi?" They recognized Brian's voice.
"He just walks in?" Madison whispered to Nick.
Nick smiled and nodded. They saw two shadows from the inside of the fort. Brian was their with LeighAnne.
"Were in here."
"In the sheet?" LeighAnne asked.
Nick poked his head out and then so did Madison. Brian and LeighAnne gave them strange looks. Probably wondering why they were inside a fort like sheet.
"Hey!" Madison said sweetly.
"How you feeling?" Brian said while hugging her.
"Better, just a little worn out."
"Brian and I brought these for you." LeighAnne handed her a bouquet of sunflowers.
"Ohhhh...you guys! You didn't have too!"
"Ohhhh....but we did! Now, you better get better cuz you and I have to go to the mall!"
Madison nodded knowingly at LeighAnne.
"Well, we'll let you two get back to what ever it was you two were going to get involved in." Brain said while laughing.
"Talking, Bri! Were just talking!" Nick said while ushering LeighAnne and Brian out of his house.
Madison sat indian style on the sleeping bag. She wanted to bring up what made her leave. But, she didn't know if it was the right time, or place.
"Can I ask you something?" Nick said.
"Sure..."
"Everything was so great. They you left...I don't get it."
She was going to have to tell him now. But, she was uneasy about telling him she did it because she liked him.
"Everything was great and it still is, Nick. I just, misunderstood things I guess. I really like you." She said while looking away.
Nick scooted closer to her. He placed his hand on her knee and looked at her with question.
"I like you."
She shook her head slowly.
"Madison, did you hear me?" Nick asked.
She looked into his eyes and kissed his cheek. He placed his hand on the back of her head and guided her mouth to his. They kissed for what seems like eternity. When they pulled away she yawned.
"I'm not THAT boring."
"Nick..I didn't say you were."
"Why don't you try and sleep."
"Good idea." Nick layed down first and then pulled her down so she was close to him. He wrapped his arms carefully around her and then clapped his hands. The lights went out.
