A few days later, Madison was still in the hospital. Only today she was being released. The guys wanted to be their but they had previous engagments with the record company. So, they allowed Nick to stay and bring her home.

"Well, this isn't too familiar now is it?" Nick said reffering to the fact she had been in a hospital a little over a month ago.

"Yeah, did I ever mention how much I hate hospitals?" She said while stretching her arms slowly over her head.

She still had scratches and bruises on her arms and legs from the fall into the road.

"Are you in alot of pain?" Nick asked concerned.

"Well, not alot. I mean, enough to make me wanna scream. But, not alot." She said while smiling.

Just as she said that a nurse walked in pushing a cart with her. On this cart was unwanted material. It was a bloode test cart.

"Look what the cat dragged in." Nick said while pointing to the needles.

"W-what's that for?"

"It's ok, Madison! The doctor just wants a bloode test. You've already been in this hospital twice now. It's just for precaussion. Just a tiny prick and then it's over with."

Madison didn't seem to buy the nurses pursuasion. She shook her head and backed away from the nurse and Nick.

"Madison, it's ok. Just a prick." Nick said reassuringly.

"Noooo..I hate hospitals, I hate needles, did I mention I'm not really happy right now?"

Nick smiled sympathetically. But the nurse didn't seem to listen to any of Madison's protesting. Nick new that she was gonna have her bloode drawn wether she liked it or not. He walked over to her and softly took her hand in his.

"Here, sit." He sat on the hospital bed and placed her so she was sitting on his knee.

"Nick...please..." She whispered.

"Madison, it's hospital policy. I'm right here. Don't worry, ok?" He whispered into her ear and it sent chills up and down Madison's spine.

"I'm just going to tie this around your arm. If you turn your head it might help you." The nurse said.

Madison nodded and watched as the nurse tied the rubber band around her arm. She began getting nervous and took Nick's hand and squeezed it. Nick gulped and just locked eyes with her. Hoping it would give her something to focus on.

"Your all set." The nurse said happily.

Madison must not have heard the nurse because she was still staring intently into Nick's eyes. But, he was doing just the same.

"Cute..." the nurse said and then left.

Madison heard the sound of the cart being rolled away and she looked around and realized it was over. She blushed and then looked at the band-aid on her arm.

"Wow, Nick. Guess your a good distraction, huh?"

"Well, I guess you can say that. Now, I don't know about you, but I'm sure as hell ready to get you outta here and back into my- I mean, back home." Nick said while smiling.

"Nick?" She asked.

"Yeah?"

"When we get home. Do you think we can just sit and talk. You know? Like we used to? Stay up till late and just talk. Please..." She said.

"Well, only if you promise to fall asleep. I mean, sometime during the night, ok? We'll set up camp in the livingroom. How does that sound?"

"Sounds really inviting."
