Her face was filled with much more color. Her cheeks a rosy shade. Madison's light brown hair was still neetly matted against the cottom pillow that elevated her head. A sling hung on her right shoulder. Nick held her hand.
"It's so pretty outside today, Madison! I really hope you wake up soon. You probably are gonna wonder what kind of a weirdo I am. Talking to a total stranger. But, I'm not really that weird. More like Chaotic. But that's a good thing. Or at least the guys tell me that. You don't know the guys, do you? Wait, yeah you probably do. Backstreet Boys? Ring a bell? Maybe your not into us. That would actually be refreshing. Someone who doesn't know my shoe size." Nick said while laughing.
One of the nurses listened in from outside of the room and giggled at how cute Nick sounded. She called another nurse over to listen to what he was saying.
"So, you like sports? I do! B-ball, baby! It's a good game! Um, your probably out of highschool, being 18 and all. I wonder if you can hear me? Madison, squeeze my hand if you can." Nick asked.
"He is so cute, talking to her like that!" One nurse said.
"Yeah, I know! I hear him. Actually, I've heard him all week! She looks alot better, I wouldn't be surprized if she wakes up soon." The other one said.
"I bet he's like her prince charming. All he has to do is kiss her to wake her up."
"Nah! He doesn't has to kiss her-!" The nurses were cut off by Nick yelling.
"OH MY GOD! SHE BLINKED!"
The nurses laughed and one walked into the room to check on Madison's vital signs. It was clear to the nurse that Madison condition was getting much better.
"She blinked!" Nick repeated.
"That's great! Maybe she'll wake up soon!" The nurse left the room.

It was later in the afternoon and Nick was still seated in the same spot. Brian and AJ had come by to keep Nick company, but they had to leave. Nick once again, took Madison's hand and began talking to her.
"Madison, well, it's getting late. You know, I don't even know what color eyes you have. I know what you look like, but can't see your eyes. I bet their beautiful. But, just open your eyes, please." Nick begged once more.
As if it were a miracle, she opened her eyes. Everything was blurry to her at first, but then she became familiar with her surroundings. But not with the person sitting next to her.
"mmmm....ouch!" she mangaged to get out.
"What?" Nick questioned.
"What happened? What are you doing in here?" She asked.
"I don't even know anymore! I'm talking to this girl named Madison. Only, she isn't awake." He said, but didn't realize she was awake.
She started laughing softly. "Um, I am Madison! Can you explain what happened? I don't know why I'm in here!"
"WAIT! Your Madison! Hi Madison!" He said while yelling excitedly.
The nurses and doctors came into the room and began talking to her and telling her about her injury's. However, they totally left out the accident part. They decided to leave that to Nick since he's been sitting with her for the whole week.

"Ok, I'm a bit confused. I understand I had a concusion and was out for a week. I understand that I have to wear this sling and that I dislocated my shoulder. But, I don't get why I'm in here and where is my mom?" She asked.
Nick listened to her voice and it was the sweetest thing he's ever heard. Her eyes were a beautiful shade of blue. They showed so much expression and Nick didn't want to find out how much sadness they could hold.
"Ok, um, it's a long story! But first i'm going to introduce myself to you. I'm Nick Carter and i'm 19. Ok, so here is the story. I was parked behind your car at the stop light when out from the left came a car and it hit your car."
"Oh my gosh! Go on." She said.
"Yeah, so the driver of the other car was killed on impact."
Nick watched as Madison covered her mouth with her hand. He decided that he should continue with the story.
"I called 911 with my cell phone. Then I got out of my car and tried to open your mom's door, but it didn't open. So, I went over to your side and got the door open. I stayed with you untill the paramedics came and I've been here ever since." He said.
"You saved my mother and I! You are like an angel! Wait...Nick? Where is my mother?" Madison asked worriedly.
"Um, The other car hit your car from the driver's side.." Nick said softly.
"Holy.........then the driver is probably seriously injured or...." She said quietly.
Nick nodded and then held her hand. "I'm sorry, your mom died on her way to the hospital."
Madison began to sob uncontrollably. Nick felt awkward right now. But, he knew that he had a position to help her and like he told his mom and like he told the guys. He was going to help her. He opened his arms and she sat up in her bed and fell into his open arms. Nick, careful not to hit her right arm, wrapped his arms around her and rubbed her back.
The nurses walked by the room and saw the scene that was going on inside Madison's room. The nurses smiled because she was awake, but they were also saddened that she found out what happened to her mother.
