"Behind flowers? Teddy? Ah-ha! My sweatshirt!" Nick said outloud to himself as he picked up the phone and flipped it on.

"Hey! Nick here!"

"Nick? Hey, man! It's Brian!"

"Oh, hey! What's up?"

"Well, It's been 3 days, B! When will she wake up?" Nick asked.

Brian sighed sadly. They were all sure that she would have woken up by now. Her vital signs were looking good. Her bloode pressure had gone up. Her color looked like it was coming back. Still, she hadn't woken.

"Soon..Nick...Soon!" Brian said comfortingly.

"I hope so! Well, I'm gonna go take my place on the side of the bed. Just in case their are any changes, you know?" He said.

"Your a good man, Nick! Really good."

"Well, I'm doing this all for the woman I possibly love." He said sweetly.

"I know...I know."

Nick hung up the phone and took his normal spot, right next to Madison's hospital bed. He was kind of in the middle of her head and her neck. He wanted to be close to her beautiful face. Even when she was asleep, she was beautiful. He reached down and took her hand into his. He lifted it and gently kissed it. Her hand was sort of warm. Much different from the other days, when it seemed like it was freezing cold. He held it to his lips for a while and then sighed.

"Madi, come on girl! I don't mean to sound selfish, but your leaving me in the dark. I just wanna make sure your alright. I need to know. I have to know. Please wake up, baby. Please." Nick pleaded.

Nick smiled as he looked around the room and saw the beautiful flowers, curtosy of the guys and his parents. He looked over at a magazine that had a cover of their new cd on it. He got an idea as he looked at the cover. Their was a song on the cd that reminded him of Madison. A song that explained them perfectly. He took both of her hands and held them on her stomache lightly. He began to sing.

After she had heard Nick sing this verse she knew that she wanted to fight. She was sure of everything. Nick did care for her. It was all in her head that he didn't. A honest misunderstanding.

Nick finished the song because it hurt to much to sing anymore. He had one of those choky-crying feelings in his throat, but he didn't want to cry. He just held onto her hands tighter. But, one lonely tear escaped and slid down his chin. Nick went to catch it, but it dropped on Madison's hand. She began to roll her eyes around while her lids were closed. Nick was too into his own saddness to notice she was beginning to wake up. Finally, she slowly but surely opened her eyes.

"God, Madi- please just open your eye-" Nick said as he looked at her and then noticed her eyes were open.

"Hi.." She said weakly. Her voice was scratchy and dry.

"Oh my god! Madi! Your ok-" He said while kissing her hand.

She brought her finger up to her mouth and made a quiet singnal. She wanted to finish where Nick had left off.
