"God, this whole time he didn't really care? Nooooo.... that can't be right. What about the ring? The mall? His own family? The kiss we almost shared? The pool? Maybe he's right. I'm a nothing if he hadn't helped. This is all getting to be too much too handle. I knew it would get to be too much and too complicated. Ugh! I've just gotta get the hell outta here. Make it easier on everyone." She said softly.

She grabbed her empty GAP bag and threw her clothes in it. She put all her things, or what was left of her belongings into this bag and then looked into the mirror. She saw the necklace, with her mother's wedding ring resting on her chest.

She took the necklace off and put the ring on her finger. She sat down at the desk and ripped away a piece of paper from the notebook that lay in the drawer. She also took out an envelope and put the gold necklace in it. She began to write. The letter was to Nick.

Nick,

First off, I know your already furios at me for leaving. And I'm deeply sorry for that. I've really outstayed my welcome. Even if you may disagree, I know deep down that I have.

I really want to thank you for everything you've done for me. I'll remember it forever. Your act of kindness helped me alot. And your right...I would probably be insane if it weren't for you!

In this envelope is the gold chain that you gave me. Once again, I need to repay you and I know this must have cost alot. So, I'm giving it back to you. I know this doesn't make up for the meals you've fed me, or the clothes you and your friends helped in buying. But, it's a start. I promise I'll pay you back!

Please don't hate me! I'm leaving because it's for the best. Like I said, I've stayed longer then I should've. But, the time I've spent here, was the happiest. Believe me.

Please tell your parents "Thank You" for treating me like I was a part of their family. Also tell BJ that I won't forget how she treated me like a sister. Tell Aaron, Angel and Leslie that I'll never forget them. Tell Brian, LeighAnne, AJ, Howie and Kevin the same.

Please stay the same! I'll never forget you and your kindness. I wish you continued success with the "Backstreet Boys" as well.

Madison felt her eyes tear over and she reached over to get the tissues. When she did, she didn't notice her ring fall off and land in the envelope.

"Looks like I've got everything, I need." She said as she looked around the guestroom.

She picked up the envelope. Folded the note and sealed it with her tongue. She grabbed her bag and softly walked down the stairs. She still heard Nick and AJ laughing and she smiled. She placed the note on Nick's counter, near his phone. She took one last look around and then walked out of the house.
