Madison followed Nick out onto the patio deck. She sheilded her eyes from the bright, almost unberable to look at. Madison couldn't help but notice Nick's well-built body. Well, to her it was perfect. Not huge and muscular, but not a skinny little twig either. Nick was perfect in her eyes. But, she was not one to let him know that.

"Well, are you going to get into the water? Or shall I gracefully throw you into the water? I mean, your pick?"

She laughed at Nick's sudden humor. He treats her like he treats his friends. Which to her, was really nice.

"I'll get in the water, Nick. Don't worry! Just give me some time, ok? Taking it slow! That's all. Taking it real slow."

"Yeah, I'd say! More like a snail! Or slug! Or Turtle."

Nick rambled on and on about how many insects she was compaired to because she wanted to take it slow. IT was perfect that he was rambling on. Because he didn't notice Madison lifting up the water noodle and using it like a gladiator stick. Nick didn't see it coming. One minute he was on the patio. The next, he was in the water.

"Slow, huh?" She said as he surfaced.

Nick brushed back his hair with his hands and tilted his head and smiled at her.

"No! I was completely wrong. Your fast! Very quick. Lighting speed."

She smiled and decided to take it to her own liberty and get into the water by herself. She didn't want Nick to think she was completely unable to do anything herself.

"W-what are you doing?" Nick said in shock.

She looked around cautiously and ran her fingers through the cold, pool water.

"I'm wet! Not swimming! But, I'm wet." She said excitedly.

"I know! Madison! This is soooo great! Your in the pool! That is the most important step." He congratulated her.

Nick watched as Madison was getting aquainted with his large, olympic sized swimming pool. She looked like she was ready to learn how to swim. Or at least make an attempt at it.

"Ok, now, you trust me, right?" He asked.

"Yeah..." She said apprehensively. "Why?"

Nick tredded through the water and put his arms around her. She tensed up but then relaxed. Nick held her in a craddled position.

"I'm going to show you how to float! Just relax. If you get tense, you'll sink!" She got nervous and tensed up. Nick laughed.

"Nick!" She squealed.

"No, I mean, it won't work! You won't float the way you'd like too! That's what I ment."l

"Oh, Ok! I trust you, so show me how to float."

Nick craddled her and soon, let her go. Madison closed her eyes tightly and her hands were stretched out. Nick stepped back and told Madison to open her eyes.

"Oh...my...god! I'm floating on your pool!" She said excitedly.

"Cool, isn't it?"

"Yeah! Can you teach me anything else?"

"Can I teach you anything else? Did I hear you correctly? Of course I can! I'm the man!"

"Ok then, Mr. Man! Teach me to swim!"

Nick took this on as a challange. It took him about 45 minutes before she actually picked up the cheating skill called the 'Doggy paddle'. She mastered that with some difficulty.

"That's the Doggy paddle? I always thought it would be more complicated then that!"

"Well, Madison! It took you 45 minutes to pick up. I would say it was pretty complicated for you." He said while laughing.

"Oh, are you being rude?" SHe raised her eyebrow.

"Nah...just honest!"

"Well, Mr. Man! I'm honest too!"

"Oh, yeah!"

"Yeah! Take some of this!" She flung her arm against the surface of the water and sprayed water all over Nick's face.

"HEY! How 'bout some of this!" Nick did the same and got Madison all wet.

"This!" She splashed him.

"More of this!" Nick splashed her!

They had a tedius game of 'Splash' for about another 45 minutes. Nick would try and catch her and pin her down under the water. She managed to learn how to hold her breath, wich was a plus for Nick. Since he loved watching her hands fling around the surface as he held her head down below.
