Violent Dissorder

1. How did the band get started? How did you meet and how long have you been together?

I could tell you the entire story but it would take awhile to write. To make a long story short. Tim and Matt and I got together and started playing. I was friends with Derrick he eventually joined the band. There really is a lot to it. But I wont bore the readers

2. How would you describe your music?

We're a heavy, thrash, groove, hardcore, death metal band. I cant really describe it more than that! You'd just have to check us out sometime

3. What are your biggest influences?

Pantera, Sepultura, Morbid Angel, Cannibal Corpse, Suffocation, Dying Fetus, Fear Factory, Death, At The Gates, Carcass, old Metallica, Black Sabbath, Lynard Sknyard and just about any guitar oriented band. I listen to a lot of music and a lot of it inspires me. A lot if it I just listen to

4. Who if any do you consider the bands idols?

Vocally I've always loved Ozzy Osbourne and Glenn Danzig. Musically I'm a big fan of Geezer Butler (Black Sabbath), Cliff Burton (Metallica), Randy Rhoades (Ozzy Osbourne) Zakk Wylde (Ozzy Osbourne, Pride & Glory) and about 10,000,000 different drummers

5. What made you want to be in the band? And if you weren’t in the band what would you be doing now?

I’m not really sure. You see I bought a guitar and started jamming. Ever since then everything I've done has been because of the band. So I'd probably be sitting in front of a TV eating greasy food and waiting to die from a massive heart attack

6. What are some of your favorite bands that are really popular today?

I like Korn, Pantera, Marilyn Manson, Ozzy Osbourne, White Zombie and Sepultura. Theres a lot of bands I listen on the radio. But I dont go to their concerts or buy their CDs. I seem to like just about anything. But there are very few bands I actually get really into

7. How many demos/albums do you have? Tell me about them!!

We've got a four song demo/ep. Its called "Demon Society" it's only $4. I will say the songs are very good. But the production and packaging are poor. We half assed this one. But we're going to make up for it with our new one. I would encourage anyone to check it out. Just send $4 to us

8. What does the future hold for the band?

I'll be different. I'll say what we make of it

9. If you could play with any band who would it be and why?

Anyone who'd play with us. I'm not picky about who I play with. I'm just glad to play

10. Who writes the majority of the music?

Violent Dissorder, as a band

11. Who has been the favorite band you’ve played with and why?

Red Herring are just very cool guy. They dont have attitudes and they believe in their music

12. Where did you get the band name from?

I just misspelled the name. So we're stuck with Dissorder. Though I do think that it looks cool on the flyers

13. Describe what the band is like live?

We like to come out and pound you over the head with what we've got. We put a lot of emotions into our music. The crowd also likes to give it back. It's a very real thing. We dont fake it! We just do it

14. If you are gonna do any kind of video what would be in it?

I've always thought about a bunch of live shots mixed with a few candid shots. Though bats and density has a nice ring to it

15. Are there any touring plans made; if so tell me about them?

We've mentioned the idea there a lot of things that make a tour for us right. But a lot of things that would make it wrong. We have the dedication and desire. We just dot have the means. Touring would be cool. But we'd need money to start off with. Thetas the biggest problem. Though you should expect to see Violent Disorder in your neighborhood eventually

16. Where do you think the band will be 20 years from now?

In a drunken stupor in somebody’s bitch somewhere. Possibly rehab
