1. How did the band get started? How did you meet and how long have you been together?

Unholy Death began in 89 after I left Death Threat. It was to be a band displaying my death metal songs. That's exactly what it is today. We've had around seven different people in the band. Two different drummer's, countless bass players. No my original rhyme guitarist is on bass because we cant find one in the hick town we live in. So we've been a band for eight years

2. How would you describe your music?

Total original Black Death Metal, Speed, Black parts and technical Deicide and Darkthrone. These are about the only bands that can compare to our sound

3. What are your biggest influences?

Coroner, Late 80's, Kiss (early 70's), Judas Priest (late 70's), Van Halen and Randy Rhoades (early 80's), Napalm Death and a shitload of new bands in the early 90's and I'm surprised by bands like: Darkthrone, Emperor, Nazxrul, Acanorovus, Quintet, My Fave, Daemon, Deeds, Mortician etc...

4. Who if any do you consider the bands idols?

Oh shit, there are so many. Local bands are some. Bands like: Internal Bleeding, who I watch go from where I thought I was the only one who knew about them to everybody knows

5. What made you want to be in the band? And if you weren’t in the band what would you be doing now?

Attention, chicks, air guitar, the radio, everything. If I wasnt in a band I'd be a butcher. I have a degree in butchery but after I chopped the tip of my finger I said fuck it

6. What are some of your favorite bands that are really popular today?

Not a one of them. I hate them all. Why do you have to sound retarded to make it. I guess general public is retarded by media. It is a brainwashing of the whole nation. I cant stand popular music, I gave lessons for awhile and I could show a five year old half that shit!!

7. How many demos/albums do you have? Tell me about them!!

Our main one is 94. We've made one in 93 but no one has it. We're working on a CD now and I've got the 94 demo with us live on the flipside for two dollars postage and tape costs. It also contains a studio track, of one of our new ones

8. What does the future hold for the band?

Good things. Good things. We do as many shows as we can get. Which isnt much. People are scared to let us play. Most bands we hook up with get jealous. We've found the sound now and a new direction of music. We are making a CD and it will be full production, when it will be done I dont know. I guarantee musical onslaught

9. If you could play with any band who would it be and why?

Deicide. It would be a night of evil intensity. And then I'd like to play after any glam boy fag band and just kill them

10. Who writes the majority of the music?

I write almost 99%. I've wrote over 500 songs since 15

11. Who has been the favorite band you’ve played with and why?

Trash my high school band in 80. We played some high school parties I even had the strumming down. Chunk, chunk, chunk

12. Where did you get the band name from?

Our original singer Brian Schook, He's in some Pantera wants be band in Lansing now. If you want the name Fuck You!! Take it. Make me laugh trying to live up to it

13. Describe what the band is like live?

Intense. If you just saw a bunch of band you know why you waited when you see us. If you dont hurt yourself. Expect us to rag on someone or something. We hate the untalented

14. If you are gonna do any kind of video what would be in it?

Our friends. Most of our videos are live so they are in it. I dont plan on being on MTV for awhile. Not till the queer syndrome there in goes away

15. Are there any touring plans made; if so tell me about them?

There are a lot of bands in Michigan and Ohio and Chicago we can trade shows with. Maybe next year we will do a Michigan and neighbor's tour

16. Where do you think the band will be 20 years from now?

Famous!! Unholy Death will be a household name. I will bring the world a message through music. Everyone will relate. If you listen to our live tape you will hear what is about to come. We refuse to sound like anyone. We want to be the band that breaks Death Metal thru. Spread the word of Unholy Death everyday!!
