1. How did the band get started? How did you meet and how long have you been together?

It all started back in high school when a few friends and I started a death metal band in 1992. We were called "Garbage". Anyways, the band didnt work out for many stupid reasons. In 93' with slightly different line-up changes we tried again. At this time we were "Skinless" there have been to many line-up changes so it would be very confusing if I told you the complete Skinless history. I am the only original member left. The current members are the best ever line-up for Skinless

2. How would you describe your music?

I guess I would describe it as New York style, brutal death metal

3. What are your biggest influences?

In the beginning, Obituary was the biggest influence along with Broken Hope. Now Suffocation is my favorite

4. Who if any do you consider the bands idols?

I dont know about idols, but I'll name some bands that I really like: Suffocation, Scattered Remnants, Internal Bleeding, Sepsism, Dying Fetus, Disciples of Burkowitz, Burning Human, Morbid Entree, Dehumanized, Repudilation, Candira and many more

5. What made you want to be in the band? And if you weren’t in the band what would you be doing now?

Since I was kid, I just always wanted to be in a band. In 91' I decided I wanted to play death metal and be the heaviest band in Northern New York. If I wasnt in a band I'd sitting around wishing that I had a band

6. What are some of your favorite bands that are really popular today?

I named them in number 4

7. How many demos/albums do you have? Tell me about them!!

As of March 25, 1997 we have two demos. Our first demo "Demo '94" has 6 songs and is alright I guess. Our second demo "Swollen Heaps" ('95) has 5 songs and we are very proud of this tape. We finally got the vocals, heaviness and production that we wanted. On March 30 and 31, 1997 we'll be recording 3 new songs and re-recording 3 "Demo '94" songs for a split CD

8. What does the future hold for the band?

Well, we are going to keep putting out some heavy fucking shit and see what happens. We will try to get Skinless music to as many people as we can because we've had a great response to our stuff so far. We want to try to play more out of state shows

9. If you could play with any band who would it be and why?

Suffocation, they're great. I've already played with many of my other favorites

10. Who writes the majority of the music?

I wrote almost all the music for our first two demos. Our bassist, Adam is now contributing some riffs of his own. Everyone has had input in the lyrics

11. Who has been the favorite band you’ve played with and why?

Probably Disciples of Burkowitz because they are our good friends. When our previous drummer quit, their drummer joined Skinless too. He saved our asses

12. Where did you get the band name from?

When I was having trouble finding people to complete a death metal band I formed a silly band called Skinless Butt Portion. Later on it was shortened to Skinless when I completed the death metal line-up

13. Describe what the band is like live?

At first, we didnt have much stage presence. Our current vocalist Sherwood is good on stage. Adam and I are getting better though. We usually let the music do the talking and people go nuts

14. If you are gonna do any kind of video what would be in it?

Poop! Lots of it

15. Are there any touring plans made; if so tell me about them?

Not yet, hopefully someday

16. Where do you think the band will be 20 years from now?

In the sewer, eating turds

contact them at: Skinless RDI Box 353 Dean Rd Hudson Falls, NY 12839

*Skinless are still playing brutal death metal all over*
