1. How did the band get started? How did you meet and how long have you been together?
The vice is born during a moonless night of Spring 1996. Two unholy souls, Lord Tenebro Maleficium and Lord Silvins Mortificus gave birth to one of the worst freaks of all ages: the best Mantar. based upon dark feelings, dirt, raw sex, and the cult of Hornbook the Great, the concept of Mantar caries the ideas of Lord Tenebro Maleficium. The first demo titled "Unholy Ceremonies" went our in April 1996, containing 8 atmospheric and ritual tracks. My personal believes in Hornbook the great Daemon. Nothing else will be said about Mantar's philosophy....
2. How would you describe your music?
Mantar plays unholy ritual music exclusively. The first demo is more atmospheric but my music evolved a lot since the recording and is now closer to my personal feelings: pain, vice, and torture
3. What are your biggest influences?
Mantar does not have any influences, I find the key or my art only inside my unholy soul
4. Who if any do you consider the bands idols?
Only Hornuk is my idol and my guide on the path towards filth
5. What made you want to be in the band? And if you weren’t in the band what would you be doing now?
I created Mantar in response to my perversions... I needed to express my cult by any way. I chose music, but Mantar is not only expression of my feelings, I pray Hornuk everyday. If Mantar shall end one day. I'll find another mean to pray and to express my rotten ideas... But Mantar is eternal
6. What are some of your favorite bands that are really popular today?
I do no like popular music, honey. Anyway I shall salute impure souls as Pazuzu (Osterreich), Bhaobham Sidhe and Marduk. Hell is my heaven!!
7. How many demos/albums do you have? Tell me about them!!
My first demo "Unholy Ceremonies" was recorded in March 96' and is no sold out. The second effort will be entitled "The Wrath of Hornuk the Great" and will be available September 97'. "Unholy Ceremonies" is now an old work that is very different from my current inspiration, anyway due to the poor sound of this demo, there will be some re-mastered tracks as bonus with second demo
8. What does the future hold for the band?
For the moment I do not work a lot on Mantar because I created a side called Impure Blessings which is a black metal band. I'll work back on Mantar after having the Impure Blessings demo this summer. The future of Mantar is resolutely dark as is my personal future, there's no hope to find sanity one day!!
9. If you could play with any band who would it be and why?
I do not consider that Mantar shall play live... I am not a monkey! And I do not consider metal freaks as noble enough to deserve Mantar. However, I often dive into the Nunkthul's forest in order to meet my guide and maybe some chosen ones could be invited to make some musical performance
10. Who writes the majority of the music?
Myself... But Hornuk's guides me to reach the sense of life
11. Who has been the favorite band you’ve played with and why?

12. Where did you get the band name from?
I didnt find myself the name which is to be mine, the Master did it for me. He has the power to name his servants as they deserve to be named, so that's it. According to my name, I can say that I am very night-oriented and somehow sacrilegious, does it fit to ya dirty kid?
13. Describe what the band is like live?
Hummm... stage is so important to ya? Anyway, you shall await from Mantar some rituals as the expressions on the conceptual context
14. If you are gonna do any kind of video what would be in it?
Yes I thought about making a video. It will be filmed inside my den, in the heart of Nunkthul and it will present how my cult must be done. Await some raw pictures

16. Where do you think the band will be 20 years from now?
I will always be the servant of my master Hornuk until I rot in Hell... the spirit of Mantar will never die
