1. How did the band get started? How did you meet and how long have you been together?
Maggot Infested Corpse got started in 1995 as a side band away from Infant Skull by myself and Yama T. Porta who are Infant Skull and Bloody Jesus guitar player Shane Gagne who we met in 1995 when Infant Skull played a show with Bloody Jesus in Augusta, Maine
2. How would you describe your music?
Well I guess I would describe it as primitive raw black metal that is played fast and with pure hate
3. What are your biggest influences?
I would say Archgoat, Deicide and on the new stuff Cradle of Filth, Emperor, Old Mans Child since the new stuff for our upcoming demo is a bit slower with acoustic middle or end parts and some keyboards
4. Who if any do you consider the bands idols?
No one really that I would call idols. but we look up to bands like Insanity who are breaking new ground as far as we are concerned and they do it on their own terms. Hail Insantanity!!
5. What made you want to be in the band? And if you weren’t in the band what would you be doing now?
I guess I wanted to stare this band because in Maine it's hard to see or buy an cool Black/death metal bands so we started Infant Skull and Maggot Infested Corpse to make demos and play live for our friends and more importantly ourselves. It's a lot of fun to play live and to record demos. If I wasnt in these bands I would still be into all these great underground bands because thats where the real music comes from
6. What are some of your favorite bands that are really popular today?
I really only listen to underground bands like: Insantanity, Molested Senses, Twitching Slab, Crematorian, Dropping the Messiah, Sepsism and many more great underground bands and for well knows bands I would say Cradle of Filth, Fear Factory (Soul of a New Machine CD only), Emperor, Old Mans Child etc...
7. How many demos/albums do you have? Tell me about them!!
We released a demo titled "Kill Kay Koob" last year that we dont sell anymore and this year we released "The Bloody Mess Sessions" which is available for $4 or trades. We really like trading with other underground death/black metal bands from all over the US and world
8. What does the future hold for the band?
We have a new demo coming out in May titled "For Thy Master" which will have 5 new songs on it that will expand our sound by adding acoustic guitar and keyboards. Also we will be playing some shows in Massachusetts and Maine in the summer hopefully
9. If you could play with any band who would it be and why?
Insanity because they are my favorite band
10. Who writes the majority of the music?
I write all music
11. Who has been the favorite band you’ve played with and why?
Bloody Jesus is always our favorite to play with. They are very sick fuckers
12. Where did you get the band name from?
I got the idea for the name Maggot Infested Corpse from the Cannibal Corpse song titled "Skull Full of Maggots"
13. Describe what the band is like live?
Live we can only be described as loud, fast and relentless
14. If you are gonna do any kind of video what would be in it?
We are putting together a collection of riots and fights and war from new clips and real life video and we are mixing Maggot Infested Corpse into the video for a soundtrack which is going to be very cool to see people fighting and beating the shit out of each other while Maggot Infested Corpse is cranking in the background. This should be ready in May also
15. Are there any touring plans made; if so tell me about them?
None really set yet, but we always can play at our friends pub in Augusta Maine
16. Where do you think the band will be 20 years from now?
20 years from now I hope I am dead. I'll be old by then, So I guess you could say in 20 years I hope to be a Maggot Infested Corpse
