1. How did the band get started? How did you meet and how long have you been together?
Hot Stove was formed in 1995. It started out wit just getting together at a friends house to drink a few beers and jam anything hateful. We all went to school together and were friends who had the same taste in music
2. How would you describe your music?
Never to fast and never to slow death metal. Our new material that we are working on is a little faster due mainly to our new drummer Nick Wull and additional guitar player Kevin Massner
3. What are your biggest influences?
Our influences range from hardcore to old punk to death metal
4. Who if any do you consider the bands idols?
I dont know about the other guys but my favorite band without a doubt is Obituary
5. What made you want to be in the band? And if you weren’t in the band what would you be doing now?
I wanted to play the most extreme music possible. Pimpin'
6. What are some of your favorite bands that are really popular today?
Internal Bleeding, Cannibal Corpse, Obituary
7. How many demos/albums do you have? Tell me about them!!
Too many, I try to trade as much as possible
8. What does the future hold for the band?
More drinking. more shows and demos
9. If you could play with any band who would it be and why?
Obituary, anyone who has been to an Obituary show knows why
10. Who writes the majority of the music?
I used to write all the music but on our next release everyone is contributing
11. Who has been the favorite band you’ve played with and why?
Internal Bleeding this is one of the must intense bands to see live and they are also the most personable band to meet bottom line. Internal Bleeding rules and if you dont have Voracious Content you are a tag
12. Where did you get the band name from?
Everyone wants to know this, I could tell you. But I would have to kill you. It's a long stupid story
13. Describe what the band is like live?
Sit us up a show and you can see we'll play for beer
14. If you are gonna do any kind of video what would be in it?
A group of people doing the hookie pookie
15. Are there any touring plans made; if so tell me about them?
No touring plans. If I has it my way we would play out of town every weekend
16. Where do you think the band will be 20 years from now?
Bankrupt- you dont play this type of music to make money
