Torture, by Jennifer Cyr

It was justified. I looked over and saw him with her. The look in both of their eyes. The way they stared at each other. So much love between them. Years of secret love & lust pouring out into one loving gaze between two forbidden lovers.

I saw them through child's eyes. Through the hidden bushes, I saw the loving embrace. I felt my heart being transformed into an organ of glass. Then it shattered as I watched the next embrace. The glass sliced into every part of me. Every life-giving tissue being torn by the heart-breaking glass. Blood poured out of every orfice in my body, tearing me front the inside out.

I leaned closer and saw more. The two kissed. The kind that used to make me breathless and my heart soar. I had no heart now, I felt no jealousy, or a sense of revenge.. The pain grew deeper. It spread more. Then more. Then more. The pain consumed me. Years from now, my name would be synonymous with pain & torture. My body dissapeared. I found myself in a place of peace. Modern day people call this haven Death.
