Friends in peril:Journey's end

Orisio and Goyalatrix were kneeling in front of the throne with their heads bent and eyes downcast.They said not a word nor moved a muscle. It was even difficult to tell if they were breathing. They were almost like decorative statues infront of the throne.

Hectate sat there her elbow rested on the arm of the throne and her head rested in her hand. She took deep shallow breaths out of her mouth.
"As you can tell it has become extremley difficult to keep my youth and beauty," She said. "My power is weakening. The only thing that will cure it is the right kind of Soul Tear."
"Yes," Orisio and Goyalatrix finaly spoke and gave a quick nod of their heads.
"Yet you keep failing. Goyalatrix since you are still new you have two more chances, but Orisio this is your last."
"Yes," Both heads nodded again. This time Orisio's bald head began to bead with sweat.

"Achoo!" Merle sneezed before blowing her nose. Her complection was paler, her eyes watery,nostrils pink and lips chapped. After throwing the wadded up tissue int her wste basket she coughed a few times.
"Poor Merle you still sound very sick," Stephanie said. She Andrea,Dean,and Kyle stopped by before classes.
"But her cough is much looser,"Cecila the maid said and entered the room. She stuck the battery powered thermometer in Merle's ear."and her fever has gone down from 102 to a 99.9"
"See your getting better," Andrea said "I'll turn your homework from yesterdy and bring home today's lessons."
"I'll bring my mom's homemade breadsticks," Stephanie said."Perfect for dipping into soup."
"I'll stop by the Sweet Nature and get some herbal teas and echineacia," Dean said.
"Thanks guys," Merle told them before coughin again.
"Even when your sick your gorgeous," Kyle told her.
"Shoo, now everyone please exit miss Merle's room," Cecilia said flapping her hands."Don't want you all to be late for school or catching colds." Everyone said goodbye and left.
"Now I'm going to get you some medicine and a glass of orange juice."
"Awwww that stuff knocks me for a loopy."
"Bedrest is what you need a lot right now."

The Avalon skiff sailed out of the mist and into the pond of Central Park.
"We're home," Matt said.
"We are," Keyla beamed and leaped out "C'mon Orion."
"Just a second let me contact Celest first," A few minutes passed and Orion said "I'm going to meet her at the Novalune's apartment in a little while."
"Tell Catsey I'll be here watchin the stoneheads," Matt pointed at the three statues.
"I better run along to classes," Keyla said and grabbed her books.
"Don't forget the momory poweder." Matt called
"Right!" Keyla shouted.

Keyla snuck into school before the bell rang and made way to her locker. She put the books she didn't need at that time away and made ways to her third period class. After the previous students left she zipped
"K-Keyla Callahan Where have you..." The teacher didnt finish cause Keyla threw some of the memory powder in her face. When the classroom filled with wide eyed students, the teacher announced,
"Lets Welcome back Keyla from her month abroad."

Matt sat on a bench not to far away from the skiff. the boat itself was concealed by some shrubbery. He coulden't wait till he sees the purple sparkling eyes and bright smile of his beloved Catsy. Instead he noticed the blue robe wearing goons of the Quarrymen. He sighed and walked up to them.
"Hey boys," He said in a casual tone." Nice day isn't it?"
"Matt Bluestone of the gargoyle task force?" One of them asked.
"Yes thats me," The detective said.
"You have been gone for a while."
"yup."
"Care to tell why."
"Out of town buisness."
"Really now."
"Yes really."
"Your not going to undermind an officer now?" One of the speaker's minions asked"Not to mention leader of the Gargoyle task force."
"Right give the officer trouble maybe he can do the city a favor and have more off your sorry butts hauled off to prision." The voice came from a few feet away. All four of them turned to see a young woman between eighteen and ninteen with reddish brown hair gathered into a braid.
"Who are you one of them demon lovers?"Quarryman number one asked.
"Show us your P.I.T card,"Quarryman number2 said
"I'm not a member of "P.I.T nor a supporter of yours," The girl said "It just seems that you blue ghost's have been causing a lot of damage lately."
"Who says?"
"This does," She held out a newspaper with the headline "Arson caused by Quarrymen" and walked off. Other people in the park began to whisper and point at them.
"The gargoyles where in that building, if they wernt there."
"You'd destroy some other piece of land," An onlooker said.
"Your like the cartoon characters who destroy's an house just to kill a fly," Another onlooker said.The quarrymen at a loss for words left in a huff. The other onlookers went on their way, to reveal catsy and her sisters standing a few feet away.
"Catsy," He breathed. She said nothing and the two of them ran into each other and shared a deep embrace. <

Orisio stood before his pillar of sand waiting for the image on the next target to appear.
"I hope we succeed this time,"Goylatirx said "I dont want to loose you. your a good partner."
"Thank you Goyalatrix, but if we fail I will be just another pet,"Orisio told her.
"Your not afraid?"
"No I may acctually like it, I was probably content before I was turned into a monstrite."
"You were once and animal?"
"Yes a scarab beetle, we all were something before Hectate has changed us. Ahhh an image is appearing." The image was of Dean harris

Dara Hill returned to her dorm with her newspaper and grocceris. She placed the food in the little dorm room fridge.
"And to believe Phillip wants to join those wackos." She said and left the campus to get a milkshake. and began to mutter:
"loosers,mostofthemIcan'tbelieveheyareevenpermitted, One Chocolate Shake please,torunaroundlikethat." She paid for her shake and ws on her way when she herd strange beeping sound. She realised it as her compact. She flipped it open.
"Mirror?" She asked/
"Miss Dara Goyalatrix and Orisio are on the prowl." The detatched voice from her hand held mirror said.
"Where are they headed?"
"They are on their way to Queens."
"Ok,Mirror,Transport make a link between this store window and the closest reflective surface a few yards behind thoes two."
"Done," mirror said after the store window shimmerd a bit. Dara leapt through.

"So far we have two," Felix said. He, Chrissy,Sylvia,and Asten were sitting around the den of Felix and Chrissy's apartment
"And five to go," Chrissy added. She pulled out the dark crystal.
"Can you use it like Zoicite did?" Sylvia asked
"I'll try," Chrissy said. She held the crystal out in front of her and conctrated
"Who is the next carrier of a crystal shard?". A dark beam erupted from the top and widened. In the center of the beam was the smiling face of Dean Harris.
"This boy is the carrier?" Felix asked
"He is not that much younger than Laurine and her friends" Asten pointed out.
"Now where is he?" Chrissy held the crystal infront of her and did a slow 360 she stopped when the crystal flashed the brightest
"That way." She said.

Laurine and Sadie were of course in complete shock when they first saw Keyla, but not quite as surprised at the memory powder she was using on the teachers and principle.
"I have a little left for my parents." Keyla explained. "Won't Riley and Merle be surprised?"
"Uh Merle is sick," Laurine said.
"She is? well I gotta make her some chicken and rice soup," The redhead said.
"Well we better fill you in when we meet back at yourplace in half and hour," Laurine said and left for her bus.
"We'll tell Riley and Celest." Sadie told her.
"Uh Sadie?" The brunette turned at the mention of her name"Its great to see you guys again,"
"The same here."

"So Bertie is going to watch for a while?" Matt asked his beloved.
"Yeah, give us time for you to check back in your apartment,partner,and precinct."
"It has been a while."
"So you went to Tokyo?"
"Yeah I told Serena and her friends on how well your doing."
"Ahem." Bertie cleared her throught in front of them getting their attention.
"Hi Bertie ready to take over for a while?" Matt askd
"Yes I am, you too have fun." She sat down on the bench as Matt and Catsy left.
So where do you want to go?"
"My apartment, I havent changed these clothes in a while."

Riley and Celest were also shocked, amazed and relived to see Keyla and Orion back. All of them were at her apartment helping her prepare soup for Merle. Keyla was telling them about her travels
"Rini is so cute and she is also Sailor Minimoon," Keyla told them before stirring the pot.
"Pluto was there?" Sadie asked.
"As well as Sailors Neptune and Uranus."
"No Saturn?" Sadie asked.
"Not that I know of, so what happened while I was gone."
"Well, Laurine had to fill in for you as leader..." Riley began. They filled her in on the last month
"So I missed the wonderbimbo, but get to face the gruesome twosome? what is Lady Shadow like?"
"Whoa slow down," Sadie said "Ease on the questions you will meet them soon enough."

The four of them journeyed to the bourogh of Queens answering each others questions as best as they could. When they walked up to the Storm's porch they encountered Kyle and what appeard to be Merle's highschool friends. Kyle held a bouquet of flowers,one of the girls was carrying a dish of something that had a delicious aroma, the other boy was clutching abag from Sweet Nature. Kyle seemed a little shocked to see Keyla.
"Nice to see you Keyla," The tall young man said.
"Hi Kyle." Keyla replied "Hello." She said to the other teenagers.
"Hello," They said back.
"Are you Merle's Manhatten friends?" One of the girls asked.
"Yes we are." Riley said. They continued talking until Cecila opened the door and said "Miss Merle is awake and ready to see you."
"Great," Said Kyle and raced up the stairs.
"Well what are the rest of you waiting for?" Keyla asked and followed Kyle. The others went in after her.

Merle's fever has broken and her cough was even looser. Her eyes wern't watering at all but bright and full of joy
"Keyla seeing you has made me feel 100 percent better." The ill girl said.
"And if that doens't work ,then my soup will do the trick," Keyla held out the bowl of chicken and rice soup.
"Wich will go great with my breadsticks," Stephanie said
"And the tea's I bought," Dean added
"A complete meal," Riley said.
"All it needs is Jello,"Laurine spoke up.
"Jello?" a few people questioned
"I always eat jello when I'm ill."

Orisio and Goyalatrix entered Merle's block.
"I'll take this end and you take the other," He instructed.
"Good plan," She said and walked down the path. none of them noticed Dara who was watching from behind nor Chrissy who entered the neighborhood from the opposite way. It wasnt before long untill Andrea,Stephanie and Dean were approaching.Orisio wasted no time in transforming and pulling out his sceptor.
"What the hell?" Dean asked before shouting "Run girls!" all three of them turned tail and ran.
"Not you," Orisio said and used his sceptor to remove Dean's Soul Tear. He was heading towards it when a sharp metal object knocked his sceptor from his hand. Lady Shadow leapt down to retrieve her weapon.
"You again?" Orisio asked before Goyalatrix joined him.

Cecilia has managed to show the rest of Merle's friends out. They were about to head for home when the were nearly trampled by Andrea and Stephanie. Looking up ahead they saw the Monstrites attacking Dean. Chrystia rushed past them. Kyle ran off encouraging the others to follow but they stayed.
"No one's around," Keyla said as she held out her arm. "Sun Cosmic Power!"
"Andromeda Star Power!"
"Comet Star Power!"
"Centauri Star Power!"

Chrystia and Lady Shadow were prepared to battle the two Monstrites when both of them summoned their premade beasties. Orisio's was a man with attena, large eyes, and praying mantis claws. Goyalatrix's was a blue woman wearing stome armor with a stone sword. The woman began to duel with Dara while the insectoid attacked Chrissy seeing that their enemies were being taken care the monstrites went to retrieve the soul tear
"Well thats that," Goyalatrix said"Shall we retreat?" Orisio was about to reply when three golden disc's struck him.
"How dare you attack the purity of that boy!" Sun began.
"Who cares deeply for his ill friend,"Andromeda added.
"We are the soldiers of Love and justice," Comet said "The Galactic Ladies."
"Crap Sun is back," Goyalatrix said.
"Yup, and better than ever," Sun grinned
"Stone fist." She caused the Earthquake that knocked Centauri out.
Sun leaped at Goyalatrix, Andromeda and Comet took over for Chrystia
"Thank you." The purple haired woman said while Andromeda defended herself with an ax.
"No problem." Comet told her and faced the Beasti."Shooting stars Away!"

Chrissy ran to the tear and removed the shard. It was light blue and pear shaped. She placed the tear back into Dean's body and quickly checked on Centauri.
"How dare you?" A burned Orisio stood back up. He staggered towards the two of them ignoring the funnel of light enclosing around Dean.
"We were so close...so close." The light faded and Dean now looking like a cyborge, fired his lazer arm at Orisio. Then blasted Goyalatrix
"Hope you are allright Princess," He said to Sun, but was ready to fire again as Goyalatrix and Orisio rose back up.
"Nebula Tornado attack," a small twister zoomed along the ground and picked up the monstrites when the wind dispersed so did th enemies. Everyone around turned to see a pale coughing Nebula.
"You should be in bed," Centauri told her.
"How's Dean?" Nebula asked.
"Back to normal,"
"Speaking of wich." LadyShadow said and pointed to the two fallen beasties.
"Right, Magic dissipation!" The beasties had returned to normal humans.
"Well nice to meet you Sun," Lady Shadow said and leaped off.
"I wish she stayed." Sun said
"She is a mysterious girl." Chrissy said and handed Nebula the shard."Now you need to get back to bed."

The sun has finally set and the stone gargoyles have come to life. Hudson settled into his chair and Broadway began to prepare breakfast. Owen enterd
"Guests are here." He said
"Who?" Angela asked
"The Novalune sisters plus a surprise." He stepped back as the four sisters walked in
"Hello." Goliath said in his normal greeting tone.. His expresiion was replaced with shock when he saw who Catsy's companion was.
"Matt Bluestone." He gasped. The other four in the castle ran up to greet him.
"Hey share some of that with us." A familiar voice said and Brooklyn entered followed by Lexinton
"Lexington!" Broadway picked up his younger brother.
"Welcome home Lads"Hudson said
"Sister!" Angela squealed and ran past them to greet Miranda.
"Hello all," The little female said.
"Welcome to Wyvern Lass." Hudson said to her
"It appears that our little clan keeps on growing," Goliath said with a slight smile.

"Orisio!" Hectate screeched, her face hideous.
"I'm sorry my Queen." He said bowing. She waved her sceptor in front of him. Goyalatrix watched in horror as her partner was changed into an insect inside an aquarium. Hectates face becme almost normal. She still had a few fine lines and silver streaks in her hair.
"Now Goyalatrix you are on your last chance."
