Chapter 3
The Brothers Leave Klima
On a night when the 3 moons of Gor hung low, SENSEI approached his father and said "father I am setting out on my own to make my way in the world of Gor." Without looking up, Wolf told his son he knew the time was near, and it was close for his brothers as well. SENSEI stated he was aware of this, that they had decided to go together.
Wolf rose to his feet, the years hardly showing on his face, and asked if they all were going, SENSEI said "yes father, except RedWolf, He has elected to stay here in Klima". Wolf then walked and and grabbed some bread and packed it. He gathered salt for the long desert ride the young men would endure. He ordered that the best kailla be saddled for the young men. He also ordered that the best burnoose were brought for his sons to wear on their journey.
Wolf turned to SENSEI and said, “remember my son, Gor is not all about war and ko-laring as your brother Rune had thought.” The other brothers joined them in the room and they made their way outside. All the raiders were lined up to watch the young warriors go.
The 7 young warriors looked about the gathering, then mounted the kailla. They all turned to look at their father, who raised his hand and gave them the common gorean farewell. “I wish you well.” The 11 brothers raised their hands to their father, and their brother RedWolf and returned the farewell.
With that they turned their kaiila and kicked their flanks and set out into the desert night. Leaving the low white buildings of Klima behind them, and disappeared over the dunes. They knew the desert well, and headed in the direction of the City of Tor. The caravan of eleven slowly moved over the desert.
