CON AIR 2??? WHAT THE $%@#?!

***Please note that this was e-mailed to us anonymously and we really can't confirm it. The reason why we took it down is because we thought it was B.S.. But read it for what it's worth!

"Here's a scoop on a CON AIR sequel. Ever since CON AIR came in first place opening weekend, the head honchos over at Jerry Bruckheimer Films have been talking about a CON AIR sequel. It will be made with or without the participation of Nicolas Cage. My friend, who works at Touchstone Pictures gave me a peek at the 15-page synopsis and here I am, ready to give it all to you: It will be about an all-new high-tech airport that gets taken over by all new cons. The catch here is that Vince Larkin (John Cusack) and his U.s. Marshals have made an airport for emergency landings for the Con Air planes, if the planes got taken over by cons. The airport has ultra-powerful satellites that can control the Con Air planes and land them safetly in the airport. And if all means necessary, the airport can use the satellites to shoot missiles at the planes. But this 'airport for con air planes' is also an airport for everyday civillians and the civillians don't know it's really a high tech airport used to land con air planes. That's where some problems begin. When a con air flight does go out of control, Larkin, his U.s. Marshals and the airport takes action by controlling the plane via satellite to land the plane in their airport. But the cons do the smart thing: they make an air to air transfer in mid-air with another adjacent plane, which is a 747 filled with everyday civillians. Larkin does get the con air plane down but it's filled with dead cops. But then the hijacked 747 lands with the cons and the civillians. The cons take over the airport, take the airport's civillians and Marshals hostage and take control of the airport's controls. The marshals get a taste of their own medicine as they witness hostages get strapped to a plane by the cons. The plane takes off, and the cons shoot them out of the sky with the satellite missiles. The cons have some demands and if they aren't met, every 25 minutes they'll strap more hostages to planes and shoot them out of the sky. And after all is done, they'll use the satellite missiles to shoot at other things (buildings, cars, cities, etc.). To make matters worse, the president's plane, Air Force One is scheduled to land at the airport, and the president is in tow to approve of the airport in a measly warning time of 3 hours. Sure, the cons will kill the president and sure, they'll blast Air Force One out of the sky...it looks like the end....and more impossible odds for Vince Larkin who just happened to be in the basement of the airport when the takeover began. Nobody knows the airport better than him (the guy designed it!) and his new mission is to take back the airport....but not without a little help from an old comrade, namely Cameron Poe who is waiting for his family to land at the airport. I guess you know what happens from there. The plot sounds better than CON AIR, though it also sounds like DIE HARD 2 but with more complexity and has more of a building story though I have no idea how Cameron Poe and Vince Larkin are gonna meet. If Nicolas Cage doesn't want to return, then the sequel will be a spin-off with only Vince Larkin. The only flaw is that I want Steve Buscemi's Garland Greene back. Other than that, it sounds very, very cool....the title is CON AIRPORT."
