Howie was just surprised to hear what Lou had to say, but he didn't stop there.
"Everytime I get a group its always the same thing, first it was New Kids On the Block, now its Backstreet Boys. It's always the same thing, 5 guys from Florida. Oh and they all have the same line up too. They always have the youngest one. Preferably blond/blue eyes. The one who gets the most attention, in our case, Nick Carter. It's bad enough that there's one Carter, but he brings along his younger brother, another mistake! Then they is the Wild & Crazy one, an A.J McLean. He has to prove to the whole world that he different….artistic, and I think sometimes that boy is GAY. The group always needs a father figure….in Backstreet's case, it has to be Kevin Richardson. Always acting as if he's noble and innocent. Please, works out, keeps in shape, models…sick. Then there has to one of the lead singers. Brian Littrell, how long does he thing he can keep that shit up? Trying to play off as if he's a good ol' country boy. If his accent got any thicker, he'd be a true redneck. Lastly, there is always the Tenors. Howie Dorough, the so-called "Latin Lover". Giving the image to the fans as if he's humble and loyal. If he has fewer fans it'd be a crime…"
"And they always have to bring their precious, little, girlfriends. Brian has the crybaby of the three. And let's see, Kevin's got the bitch, and AJ's got the slut, but then again he's gay! What does he need a slut for?!" Lou said, making gestures with his hands.
The cameraman was trying to get Lou to notice that they were right behind him, but then again, he didn't listen.
"So I'm a bitch huh?" Pat said. Lou turned around, and was stunned. "And I'm a slut?" Sheena questioned. "I ain't gay damn it!" AJ yelled. "Now wait, lets see what Lou has to say for himself…I mean he must have a perfectly good explanation for saying such things." Kevin stated. "Yes, yes! You're completely right, I have a very good explanation… I…I…"Good answer!" Brian said sarcastically.
The weather patterns changed and lead into dark skies. "Hey y'all, the sky doesn't look so good to me, I say we get in the bus." Howie suggested. Kevin looked at Lou. "We'll continue this later." He said, and walked towards the bus.
*******
The bus pulled out, and went back on to the trail. Lou and the cameraman took a van and went ahead of the bus. The thundering and lightning soon began and rain followed, pouring hard. Inside the bus was dark, and the only source of light there was came from the windows. It was still daytime but you could barely see anything. Kevin took one of the window seats, and kept thinking about what happened. Ashlee sat next to Brian, talking about anything. AJ and Sheena sat in the back of the bus. He took out his CD player, and she went to sleep.Nick already had his Game Boy, and Howie also decided to get some shut-eye. Pat was up front working, and going over other things as well.
"Damn it, can't see anything on these roads." The bus driver said. "Well, we can stop and wait till the rain dies down." Pat suggested. "Well, Ill have to check with Mr.Pearlmen." He said. "Do whatever". The Driver called Lou through the intercoms and asked it they could stop. Lou just yelled and said that they needed to continue and under no circumstances stop.
Pat got tired of sitting up front and went to the back where everyone else was. She took notice of Kevin and sat next to him. "We were fooled." He said, turning to her. "It's not your fault, just don't worry about it now." She told him, "I know how you feel about him and all, and I know how hard it is, but don't let it get to you that bad." She continued. Kevin nodded his head, reached over, and grabbed her hand. "You're right, I'll deal with him later."
As they continued the bus ride, the weather just kept getting worse and worse. The skies got darker by the hour, and louder by the minute. "There is no way we can continue in this type of weather!" Ashlee said. She got out of her seat and went to the bus driver. He called Lou and he still said that they weren't going to allow any stops no matter what happens. Howie woke up by the thundering, and so did Sheena. Lou's driver entered the main highway and the bus followed. The rain caused a rush hour to come from all directions. They were entering an intersection and heading northbound. Out of no where, a driver coming from the east, lost control of the car, causing her to miss a stoplight, and slam into the passenger side of Lou's van. The crash hit the van so hard that it caused it to tumble twice and hit two other cars. The bus driver made an immediate stop, and took notice of what happened. Lou's van was now upside down. To make matters worse, the impact sprung a leak in the gas tank, and the car was engulfed in flames. Not even the heavy rain helped. The fire department arrived and extinguished the flames, but the only person that was able to survive out of the van was just the cameraman. The thing was when they pulled Lou out; he looked alive, and had no burns. The driver and passenger of the other vehicles were able to escape before anything happened.
The bus driver opened the door and ran outside, but before he could get any closer to the van, a firefighter stopped him.
Howie stepped out of the bus and went over to see the driver. The rest of the gang decided to get off as well. They didn't know what to do…what could they do? What could they say? Even though Ashlee wasn't very found of Lou Pearlmen, it still had an impact on her. Brian held her close to him, and she couldn't help but cry. The bus driver was hysterical, they found out that Lou had been a family friend for the last 25 years. Howie tried to calm him down, but the driver just broke down in tears. His knees gave out, and he fell to the ground. Lou didn't leave the best last impression, but his death did hurt them. The police officer asked them if they knew any one of the victims. Kevin answered yes, and it was the person in the van. After half an hour of questioning, the officer asked them to report to Jacksonville Medical hospital. Howie and Nick took the driver back to the bus to get him out of the rain. AJ, Sheena, Brian and Ashlee followed. Pat and Kevin went with the Officer to the hospital. Howie took control of the bus while a cop helped him guide through the traffic. They were all to meet again at the Hospital.

Pat and Kevin reached the hospital and were sent down to the morgue. The Doctor waited outside the doors until they both showed up. As they both arrived, the Doctor introduced himself. "Hello, I'm Dr. Peterson " He greeted, shaking each of their hands. "Well I need one of you to identify the corpse…" She volunteered and went in. As she made her way into the room the others had just arrived. Kevin explained what they had told them and that Pat was identifying the body. All they could do is just wait.
*******
The Doctor took Pat past dozens of corpses. He went ahead checking the toes and finding the names. "Well here he is." He said. He uncovered the sheets and revealed the body. He looked so alive. You could identify him through his gut and some of the objects found at the scene of the accident.
As soon as the identifying procedure was done, she walked outside with a bag of what had been saved from the accident. Kevin approached her first. She told them what the doctor told her and the evidence recovered.
What were they going to say? What were they going to do?
