Twenty years ago Bob Nutting met the Lord. Fourteen years ago, the "Trail" met Pastor Bob. After working in the Taft Fire Control District for 19 years, Pastor Bob felt led of the Lord to resign from his position as Fire Chief and devote his life to the Lord in what ever capacity God would direct him to.
God sent him to an area known for its history
of drug and alcohol abuse,.rampant prostitution and high crime rate.
God inspired him to convert an old motorcycle repair shop into a place
where the homeless and down and outers could sit down to a cup of coffee
and donuts and be exposed to the gospel message of salvation. This
place was named Cross Roads Coffee
House.
Today, Cross Roads Coffee House serves as a
place of refuge for families and the wayfaring individuals that need a
meal. Children that need tutoring and supplemental nourishment can come
to the Kid's Cafe after school. Over a thousand meals are served
each week. Boxes of groceries are given to families in need
to tide them over until they can receive permanent
help. Clothing and personal hygiene items are given to
those that need them. The "Coffee House" servers as a beacon
of hope in the inner-city area where it is located. Ministries
and Pastors are being supported in former communist countries and other
countries throughout the world. This humble ministry has been blessed
by God to lending a helping hand to those in need in places all over the
world.
