GOSSAMER SAILS

Gossamer sails
on fishing boats -
in a harbor -
like a butterfly
that floats on wings
of multi-colored hue -
who’s on those -
I wonder who
operates the little fishing boats now -
and do they remember War -
are they happier now
than they were before?
how have they fared?
It would be nice if
I could have shared
this little verse with those
who fish on boats
with Gossamer Sail
but I will never know their story,
nor they, my tale.
