Aka GODZILLA VS. CLEVELAND, this was a spoof script by Dana Olsen, done in the vein of the popular AIRPLANE! Series, but parodying giant monster movies instead. The movie was killed after Golan-Globus bought the script and changed it from the generic IT ATE CLEVELAND to GODZILLA VS. CLEVELAND. Not having any rights to the Godzilla name, Golan-Globus then found themselves on the other side of several legal threats from Toho, and subsequently dropped the film. The story would have had the monster emerge from Lake Erie to attack Cleveland.
