The CeilidhThis is a set of pictures from the Ceilidh (pronouced Kay-Lee). We had some guys come in and teach us how to do a bunch of Irish dances. A lot of it was kind of like square dancing, but with a different swing of things. These could have gone under "events," but I decided they fit here a lot better. Besides, there are a lot of photos! Anyway, enjoy!

The Band
This is the band. Well, it is a least part of the band. They were really cool, but they kept disappearing to go to the bar. One guy played an electric violin. That rocked. |
A Slow Dance
They taught us how to do a slow dance. Any of you familiar with Swedish clogging would recognize this dance, because it is just like one. They even told us that! |
Matt Dancing
Matt is my roommate. He is the guy in the red hat. He is a really cool guy. He was a little tipsy at this point in the dance because he was dancing around so fast. He said he had a lot of fun though. |
 Amelia cuts a rug!
Amelia is having too much fun, I think. Wait, maybe that isn't really possible! Oh, for those of you who don't know who Amelia is, she is the girl in white with her head pointing left. |
 Amelia holds the bridgeAmelia is part of a dance where you have two groups and during part of the dance, two of the groups make a bridge and the other people go under the bridge. Sounds like fun to me..... except I would be the one who is too short for anyone to fit under! |
