Steppenwolf ~ 2000

Meeting Gary Sinise and visiting the Steppenwolf Theater in Chicago.

     During Memorial Day weekend in the spring of 2000, members of Gary Sinise's fan club, Gary Web International joined each other in Chicago to enjoy a weekend together and to meet Gary Sinise.  

     And what an incredible weekend it was!  Our weekend started at the Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. restaurant and just got even better from that moment on.

     On Saturday morning, GWI hosted a fundraiser breakfast with Gary ~ an opportunity to raise money for the Steppenwolf theater and to meet Gary during an autograph session.  

     The event began with a Q&A session where Gary discussed his film roles and projects, followed by photographs and autographs for each member in attendance.

     Many of us were a bit nervous meeting him, but I must say that he is so kind and easy going in person, he made everyone feel at ease and very comfortable.     

After the breakfast and sightseeing, we arrived at the Steppenwolf theater to see Gary perform in the play, One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest.  It was excellent.  

After the performance, Steppenwolf treated our group to champagne and cookies and Gary was generous enough to join us for a few minutes there as well.
