Rising Sun Productions is a division of Rebel Films dedicated to the making of low budget but quality samurai films. Why? because we love making samurai films here at Rebel Films!

Our next fiction venture, currently in scripting stage, is Men Of High Purpouse, a controversial feature length drama set in the Satsuma Rebellion. We are looking at production in 2005, but are already shortlisting cast and crew who would be interested in collaberating, on a costs and profit share basis - If you are interested, please get in touch. - but only if you are serious: time wasters, wannabes without commitment who balk at the first sign of mud or blades, and practical jokers are not appreciated! (ideally we are looking for committed, happy, and ambitious people each side of the camera).
Before the making of Men Of High Purpouse, we will likely be shooting various shorter dramas, so feel free to let us know if you might like to be informed of castings. You dont have to be Japanese to be in the films, since we love covering people in tons of make up. If you are looking for cast for a samurai film, please let us know at our affiliated samurai re-enactment group.
Rising Sun Productions also makes instructional martial arts videos, we are currently contracted to make one for The Plymouth School Of Aikido. We can do yours too, at VERY low rates. please contact us for more information.
